Harry Potter Vs. Twilight Club

I see a lot of Twiight fans arguing the same points over and over again, and frankly, they have no idea what they're talkinng about.

First I'd like to point out:

Some Twilight fans are saying that they are confused with Harry Potter because they haven't read the books and the movies don't explain clearly enough. Well, guess what, that does not make Twilight better than Harry Potter, it is not out fault you haven't read Harry Potter. When we argue Harry Potter vs. Twilight I was under the impression that we were including both books and movies, not just the movies. So the fact that your confused with the movies does not make a difference at all.

Ther are only small crushes in Harry Potter:

I admit the movies don't take you through all the emotional pain and inside love Harry feels for Ginny. But the books do! The movies do however do a pretty good job at telling you how much Harry, Ron, and Hermione care for eachother and love eachother and would do anything for eachother. There is more than one type of love. Not every love is romantic and creepy as in Twilight. There is family love and friend love and true love. In the Harry Potter books Harry had to wait for over a year to finally get his chance with Cho Chang. And you should be able to tell that from the movies as well. And it is not all just crushes.

What are you saying:

Dear Twilight fans: Are you saying that you would have been more pleased with Harry Potter if the moment they entered Hogwarts they met the love of their lives and started making out on the grounds every other day, or flying their broomstick up to the window of the girl's dormitory to watch girls sleep. If that was in the movies or books I'd be disappointed.

There is no love in Harry Potter:

And if you don't call Severus Snape's love for Lily Evans/Potter that lasted even after she was murdered love than you need a reality check. If you don't find Harry's undivided devotion to Ginny true love, then you obviously haven't even watched the movies carefully. I didn't see anywhere in the Twilight books the devotion of love like Severus felt for Lily.

There is no depth to Harry Potter:

There is depth to Harry Potter can you not see all the emotional pain, worry, love, and sacrifice. Can you not see all the bravery, courage, cunning, hatrid, and fighting. Can you not feel all the remorse and sadness that radiates of the characters, when they have lost someone they loved. Their total selfless feelings towards theirselves so they can help others. Even Dobby is more complex than most Twilight characters. Not to mention all the mystery in the Harry Potter books and movies that was never seen in Twilight.

Just to review:

Harry Potter is an era that will last generations and makes you obsessed with reading the next page. Twilight is a fad that makes you less than addictive to all the lust. The thing about Twilight is that ... it's all lust ... call it love if you want the point is that Twilight is the one that has no depth there is only one theme and that is lust. Their is no mystery in Twilight either. To me reading Twilight was like reading a bad fanfiction.

Ask yourself this:

The question you should be asking is not what we see in Harry Potter, try asking yourself what you see in Twilight and see how many points you can come up with. Your fighting a losing battle. I will fight whatever points of view you throw at me so feel free to argue you opinion.

I have actually read both series and liked Twilight okay, but Harry Potter rules for me!

First, the so often brought up topic... love, or lack thereof. Harry Potter consists of all sorts of love: family, parental, romantic, friend. Twilight consists of pure lust. Now for the evidence! Mrs. Molly Weasley killed Bellatrix Lestrange because Bellatrix nearly killed Ginny, her only daughter. The Weasleys all look out for each other, and even Percy apologized in the seventh book. They joined together in dark times, happy ones, sad ones, and when Fred died. You might say the Cullens show family love....

I'm going to start doing articles like this because I think it's fun and I just wanna see who thinks one character is better than the other.

Before you guys start, let me tell you my opinion. I think that Bellatrix is the better villan because she's mean, crazy and cruel but also happens to have good fighting skills, even though I hate her for hurting Hermione. She's also not afraid [potterheads correct me if i'm wrong] to kill others. She pretty much has the ultimate personality and guts that Villaness's have.

Those are my opinions. Now... feel free to add yours!! Enjoy:)
PREFACE - THE JEALOUS-FALLACY IN ITS MANY FORMS

Alright, I have already dissected one very common fallacy invoked by some Twilight fans and a few Harry Potter fans as well, the Edward-fallacy. I shall not discuss that one but instead I will be moving on and examine another common fallacy invoked by some fans, using what I believe is the two most common forms of it.

"YOU ARE JUST JEALOUS, THEREFORE YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID"

Firstly, let us examine the logical reasoning behind "You are just jealous, therefore your argument is invalid".
It is invoked when any fan post an argument and employes this...

first off i would like to say that i used to like t but everyone ruined it.

hp is so much better because its about friendship and standing up for your self it shows fear and judement and kind and tenderness which in twilight its just about useing people to benifit you and doin iti mean in twilight, it takes edward and bella what a week to fall in love it takes ron and herimone over 7 years and harry starts to relize he loves ginny after 5 years! and not to mention hp is fun for everyone some people might be afraid of the fact of a man eating vampire watching them not knowing when there going to attack out of hunger. so when you "twilight" fans find some real evidence that twilight has any real moral to it let me know cause i really like to know wat you think. or just comment on this article PEACE, sy-sy
