Harry Potter Vs. Twilight Question

Now tell me... This is true, is it not?

I may say that when us HP fans are asked WHY we like Harry Potter, what's so great about it? We actually give constructive, good, totally true reasons.

BUt when we ask Twilighters the same question, the best answer I've got is:

"It doesn't need reasons, it just is."

oh and another one, which irritates the hell outta me

"edward/jacob/jasper."

May I also point out that in picks , there are about 80-100% of fans picking the Harry Potter related ones. (apart from picks like which is worse or who is the biggest Mary Sue etc...)

I'm just pointing out facts.
Not having a go.
Like I said, pointing out facts.

Well, something that I've noticed, is that sometimes coming up with a good answer can take some time. Just because someone can't answer immediately or answers slightly lamely, doesn't mean that they don't have a good answer or that what they like isn't good. Really, I don't understand this whole debate, I love both Harry Potter and Twilight. A lot of times when I answer lamely as to why I like Twilight, it is because I'm tired of being asked that. Everyone has their own opinions and they should be allowed to express those without being questioned constantly as to why.

And, as the others say, there's nothing wrong in thinking something's better, if you have proof. But if you personally prefer it, then that's fine, it's a matter of opinion.

That's great, but it would be interesting to know WHY you guys like Twilight ... it's a matter of curiosity, rather than 'questioning constantly.'

Yes, its a sad disclosed fact that the world doesnt know about. They "think" Twilight is this big bang in literature, but its a fad among horney girls. Excuse my bluntness and if I offended anyone. Im not talking about those who read it, read it thats fine, I dont care. Im talking about the obsessive girls who are " OMG, OMG, OMG, Twilight!" God, put them on Thorazine(very powerful mental numbing drug).

Thanks, quite coincidental. OOTP was released on that day until they changed it to July 11th. two months in advance. WB is weird sometimes.

I agree, you don't need a reason to like something, but when you're trying to prove something is better than another, you need reasons, evidence, arguments, etc. To try and prove your side of the Harry Potter vs Twilight debate, you need to back it up with reasons, which is what we're asking for. Hope that makes sense.

yes.. but i think half the time.EVERY TWILIGHTER IS SCARED TO EXPRESS SOO...cause look what happens,,,, Twilight is not accepted here even though its says in its name..... its ganged and bashed,,,, sooo we just short, quiet , simple cause if we go into detail about then we are catagorised as CRAZY TWILIGHT FANS WHO LIVE FOR I

^ it's because Twilight has about as much depth as the colour.
