Harry Potter Vs. Twilight Question

If you compared the overall plot, life lessons and story lines of both HP and Twilight, which series would stand out more in literature?

I just wanted to know, because even though the debates of both fandoms are going on strong, Harry Potter and Twilight are in the current opposition they were in since they were first accidentally compared by an editor of the Twilight books. The Twilight series is okay at best in my opinion, even though I could only comprehend the books to contain mostly humorous romance. I am a Harry Potter fan and would vent frustrations from time to time whenever someone attacks the series with immature and deeply biased claims. One of my friends on Sodahead has recently explained to me about the obvious differences of both books being hilarious as one has absolutely nothing to do with the other, but yet they're still being compared and debated, sometimes with errors and misspellings beyond normal comprehension. I've agreed with her on the comparison and explained to her that it was all done in fun for both perspectives of each series. Which brings me to this comparison question. I believe if the books are compared on a scholarly level, Harry Potter would definitely win due to the level of J.K. Rowling's careful construction of the plot and the flow of the story line in each of the Harry Potter books. That's just my opinion, but what will be the verdict after comparing those aspects of each author's book series?

I know it was done to death, but I feel that this type comparison needs to be done to help the opposing fans know the series depths at an argumentive-persuasive level.

Personally? I don't think either. I've taken three Lit classes so far in college, and Harry Potter doesn't "stand out in the crowd" in anyway. Neither does Twilight. There's nothing particularly deep, profound, or new to make them stand out writing wise, and the writing itself isn't the best (which makes sense, as these were the first books written by these ladies).

I would have to say twilight takes it..if you actually really took the time to READ the twilight books you would come to know that twilight is a way more scholarly book then you might percieve it as..twilight has hundreds and hundreds of years experiences..they probably know every language ever invented. The way they communicate, conversate is very scholarly..their vocabulary is awesome and so mature.. Although I would have to be honest and say harry potter is also a scholarly book..but twilight takes it for many reasons..its creativity for one, the characters are so unique in their very own ways..their knowledge makes me want to look in the dictionary and know exactly what they said..the way author makes you beg for the next page or book..the relationships are heartouching it gives me the butterflies..even the backround music is perfect exactly on point with the mood..its action..humor..adventure..romance..drama..family..,fantasy and I can really go on. Its not some just stupid romance with no point its a brave..unique..movie and BOOK.all these reason are why twilight books and even the movies in MY opinion is better then hocus pocus..its scholarly but also interesting in every way..I'm A HUGE TWILIGHT FAN I LOOOOVE IT! But if I had to give an honest opinion I would say harry is ok twilight takes it all the way...***
