Doesn't it piss you off when you're saying your reasons why twilight (or any other book/movie) is bad when the other person says, "It's just a book. It's not real."

A little. I wouldn't say "it pisses me off", but more "it frustrates me." This is a debate spot. The whole point of it is to debate about these two series. IMHO, saying "it's just a book/movie, it isn't real" is a cop-out answer that means "I don't actually have any reasons to back up my opinion, so I'm going to state this obvious fact to try and make you feel like an idiot for 'reading too much into' these stories."

Kind of. I mean, we're debating the why the book is bad. We know it isn't real, you don't have to say that.

Yes it does. It may not be real, but we're still DEBATING about it. The other person can't decide to take the easy way out and fall back at the last minute when you're already in the middle of your "discussion". It's like being left hanging.

I think it pisses me off more when they say that the books ARE real.
