Well, since my favorite series is neither HP nor Twilight, I'll just answer for HP:

- Memory charms (see my post on the wall)
- The pictures moving and talking. I know it's magic, but they never FULLY explained it.
- That wand thing in GoF, but that was fixed, I think

Erm... that's all I can think of for now.

So far, my favorite series is Twilight.

I haven't been really interested in Twilight for some time, so if I don't remember the specific details, my apologies.

1) This I can remember because it's about Rosalie. xD

Around the time Rosalie was still human, it was 1933 and the Great Depression had struck the US. Now, Rosalie told Bella in Eclipse that the reasons as to why the Hale family remained wealthy were that her father was an owner of a bank.
But, according to what I have learned, the reason (or one of the reasons) as to why the Great Depression had even occurred was because the banks failed. So, how would that make any sense, really?

2) The whole wolf-imprints-on-child thing.
Now, imprinting in general I don't really care about. It's like, the Cullens live in the woods. Imprinting is just an exisitng fact in the novel.
But..the fact that we have seventeen-year-old boys seeing their soulmates in children as young as just minutes old?
Um...I don't think I'll ever comprehend that or see it as okay.

3) Explanations that were needed for some elements in the series never came.
Examples:
Bella's mind (or is it just Bella in general?) is immune to a vampire's gift(s). But why? What makes her so exceedingly unique in that sense?
I don't think any comphrehendible explanation was left for that.
Same thing with Renesmee.
Vampire females cannot become pregnant, but vampire males can bear children with humans.
What is the significant difference between a vampire male and female when it comes to reproduction, and how can this happen?
I'm sorry, but the Vampire male being like the old man theory, just doesn't work.

And that's all I can really remember as of now.

About the Rosalie thing, I read somewhere that the owners of smaller banks weren't effected as much because when people withdrew their money, is wasn't as significant a difference as it was for the larger banks with more clients. I don't remember exactly, but it made perfect sense to me. The Bella thing, it was explain by someone later that Bella put up some mental block on herself to stop herself from thinking about unhappy memories. We saw this happen in the beginning of New Moon. She didn't get miserable because she avoided thinking about Edward. If she's not utilizing her entire hippocampus, Edward couldn't get into it.

Hm, I've always wondered, if the vampires have such wonderful hearing as to hear radios playing in cars all the way on the highway when you're somewhere in the middle of the forest, how come Alice and Jasper couldn't hear James' voice coming from the phone in the hotel when Bella was only in the next room.

How Voldemort can be such an idiot.

Book 4: His arrogance took over and he wanted Harry to duel him. Why not just kill him while he's stuck? Also, clearly Voldy knew the portkey is two sided, so he should've at least told someone to gaurd it.
Book 7: After Harry CLEARLY states that the wand is HIS, Voldy still uses it. He honestly should've seen it coming.

Another thing is that all Slytherins are not evil, so why did all of them leave? Rowling said time after time that people deserve second chances because they can change, but then the Slytherins were always considered evil, yet they left when they got another chance. I'm sure not all of them are cruel and heartless.

I also find it weird how Barty Crouch Jr. managed to note every detail of Moody that even Dumbledore couldn't tell the difference. I'm sure he hasn't been stalking him for that long :/

Yes, but then he would have had to do that for a long time, and from the books - it seems like Barty recently came to Voldy, so I don't understand how he is able to do that so greatly. :sigh: I just don't understand how Barty was able to fool Dumbledore, a.k.a Moody's good friend. That would be extremely hard.

It was explained in the books, by Nearly-headless Nick and/or Dumbledore. Basically, people who are afraid of death/whatever comes next become Ghosts in order to avoid going "on". That's kind of the gist of it anyways.

I guess he was a charmer and won her over in the end, he also changed so he may have proven it to her and she agreed to a date. So you believe Moody had been in the position of seeing in naturally, and then seeing it change shape, previously? That is the only explaination I can gather, but I would think he would then tell people what it looked like, for research reasons. But it's possible!

i highly doubt he would tell people what it looked like, also maybe he did tell ministry officials but they didnt want the description to get out, i think it is highly likely that moody may be the only person to have ever seen its original form yes

But I think that fact that Bella's baby had to grow up so fast...
Best parts of being a mother is always wanting your little baby to stay little. Some of the best connections with you're child happens when they are little babies. I love reading and listening about woman talk about how beautiful their babies are and how much they love them. It makes my heart ache.
So when I found out that Bella was pregnant I was soo looking forward to her talking about and awwing over her little precious baby. But Renesemee just grew up sooo fast. By the end she looked 5-6.. It's not fair.
Logically Renesemee diddn't need to grow up fast, Meyer just did that to spice it up, but I Don't like it on fucking bit.And I wanted Bella to have a boy. Something about Bella with a baby Boy is just natural.

First of all, no R's in my name (sorry, everyone does it). Secondly, there is a thing called canon, a guide that the creator of a series follows. Like in HP, you cannot conjure up food from thin air. There are rules, not strict rules, but still rules.

Its because of the prophecy that he wanted to do it. It referred to The Dark Lord, saying he will mark him as his equal. so the dark lord probably thought it wise to kill harry himself instead of his fellow death eaters.

This answer is kind of late, haha, but whatever.

In HP, how can Harry remember what happened to him when he was 1 year old (with the bright green light, his mom and dad screaming, etc.) when the connections in his brain, needed to form memories, wouldn't have developed yet? They don't develop until a baby is about 2 years old. Was this ever explained in any of the books? Because I don't remember them mentioning it.

Oh, and another thing that bugged me. How come Harry was the only one that survived Avada Kedavra? There had to be others who could have been "protected by love." I find it hard to believe that out of everyone that was killed by the spell, Harry was the only one who was loved enough to be protected.
