Harry Potter Vs. Twilight Question

A question about the Saga-That-Must-Not-Be-Named's cover art..

Okay, this has honestly been bugging me forever..

In the Harry Potter series, no matter what version, all the cover arts have depicted something that actually had to do with Harry Potter.. but in the Twilight "Saga" it's like totally random items. Like honestly, chess pieces? A RIBBON? I'm lost. >.<

(Not trying to be overcritical, but this has bothered me since day one.)

Ribbon: Bella's connection to reality. Notice how the ribbon is all broken.

Chess: Bella's transformation from human (pawn) to vampire (queen). Another example of why Meyer's Anti-human.

Nope, the flower is just there to look pretty. It's (well it was) on SMeyer's website.

Yeah, but you flip V upside down, it becomes A, and if you do some stuff to O and E, they become D and R, making... LARD.
