Harry Potter Vs. Twilight Question

I'm thinking of reading Twilight. (After I finish the DH) Should I?

I heard it's good... and bad. And I don't care about the fans (Some people hate it because of some fans), and I will stay more loyal to HP. I tried reading it once, and the first chapter was ok, so, should I read it? And don't say, "OMG ITS SO AWSME READ IT!!!1" That won't work on me.

You mean you haven't read Twilight? *is confused*

Anyway, you should read it, for debates on this site and W/E, but make sure you read or watch something stimulating after reading it, to get it out of your system. I recommend re-reading Harry Potter, or start watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

you know what, i think you should read it and then YOU can decide for yourself whether you like it or not. It may be something you enjoy. I know on this spot there are quite a lot of haters who will tell you not to but i think you should so you can make up your own mind. You said you read the first chapter and thought it was okay? From experience, the story picks up a few chapters in- so i'd say give it a try :)

Personally, I didn't care for it, but it's up to you. Reading the book will not kill you or turn you into a zombie. The worst that could happen is you'll read it and go, "I don't like it."

It does pick up a few chapters in.

If you're going to criticate it, of course! It'll help you in debates, and understanding what we're all talking about. Besides, you can't criticate somehting you're clueless about.

Who knows, maybe you'll like it. Personally I didn't care for it after reading the series twice, but sure.

But if you're like alot of Harry Potter fan, re-read the best HP books in between books.
I was okay without it thought (of-course I still read them)

Enjoy (or at least try)

Ok. There are alot of things I don't get because I haven't read the books, but my friends tell me some things about it.

For the sake of knowing what we're talking about, you should.

But, just so you know, you could skip a few chapters if you get bored and you'd have missed nothing important.

until the end. After the ball game you don't want to skip, but until then you're fine. You know they're all vampires anyways, unless you want to endulge in the fluffy romance

But EVERYONE can count to potato! O: And TeamSiriusBlack started the potato thing btw. She would post it sometimes to break awkward silences and such and we took it even further. Now we have Potatoism. xD

You can read it if you really want to. I thought it was good, but people are different. So you can read it if your heart's desire is to read it. :)

Im a HP fan as well as a twilight and fan and i must say that i found myself actually enjoying the books at times although (no doubt) it does have its flaws at times.
So just read it and you mat like it. And if you don't atleast you can debate about it.
