Harry Potter Vs. Twilight Question

The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner:Did any Hp fans enjoy it? What did you Twilight fans think?

So, I hate Twilight, but this book was actually not too bad. Maybe it was the lack of Edward and Bella,...or maybe it was just because I enjoyed reading about Bree...who was actually a pretty good character. Epic fail on SMeyer's part by killing her off....anyways...what did you guys think?

you can find it here if you haven't read it yet:

It was alright. I was hoping for better, and the end was kind of cheesy. I mean sure, I knew she was going to die, but still. Her character is totally way different from Eclipse though. Bree seemed more childish and naive in Eclipse, but I don't know, I guess this was supposed to give her more depth or something.

I liked her better in this book. She's a better character than Bella XD!

If it doesn't have Bella and Edward, yet it has some gore in it, I'll probably like it. I'm not trying to be homicidal o.O but I do like it when books have blood in it and people die, it makes the story interesting. I'll read it, and hopefully won't have to bash my head against the wall because of it. -_-

EDIT: read. IDk what I feel about it. It was just so predictable. She meets the guy and kisses him, just like in Twilight, except she takes the time to let the character know him. I liked the gore in it though, but I hate how Bella acts, like she's so safe in Edward's arms... COME ON! A newborn vampire is there and your blood smells pretty good. I would shaking if I were her! Also, Meyer couldn't put it in third person and tell what happened to Fred? -.-

Well, there is quite abit of killing, and a little bit of gore, bella and edward are in it for a little while, and it pissed me off how Smeyer made bella seem perfect or something. But despite me not completely hating it, I did bash my head against my computer desk a little bit through reading it, lol.

On the blood and death, I'm SO with you, I like my action, thriller, etc. stories to be have PG-13/R violence and dark content. I will admit, when it comes to many of the stories I make, I'm pretty morbid.

I didn't read it. I thought it was stupid to make a book from the perspective of such a small character. When I first read about this book it took me 5 minutes to actually figure out who Bree was.

It was better than Twilight, I'll give it that. It was interesting to see how Riley handled the newborns and his relationship with Victoria.

The writing style was the same, it did nothing for the series as a whole, and I don't understand why Smeyer needs to have her main characters fall in love with "big, strong, manly, men." But, it's pretty good for a quick read, I guess. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more had I actually cared who Bree was.

I thought it was pretty predictable though. And I don't mean the whole, "She dies at the end." I knew she was going to meet some hot guy, fall in love in less than a week, he was going to be severely injured/die right before the battle, and Bree wasn't even going to try and fight ANYBODY at all.

i thought that this was a good book as it shows a different perspective. Whilst i love all of the twilight books i think that in eclipse all of the new borns were percieved as being kind of evil, whereas after i read the short second life of bree tanner there was a part of me that felt sorry for them all as they had no idea what was going on,especially riley who betrayed everyone to be with victoria who then watched him die, but hey thats just my personal opinion.
