Oh my gosh... Someone committed suicide over a plot spoiler....

Yeah, having depression myself, I have had passive thoughts because I have had it so long. And often times you feel every negative thing that happens is toward you. So maybe he just had it. There has to more contributing factors that they probably cant release to the general public. R.I.P. My thoughts are with him, I know personally depression hurts.

I'm sorry; I'm a huge fan of HP, but this is just ridonculous (more ridiculous than ridiculous)! I mean, someone spoiled the ending for me, and I didn't kill myself over it (I hit the guy who spoiled it for me)! "He no longer had reason to live" GET A LIFE!!!! GEEEZZ!

Me thinks the only way he could've been that unhappy over a spoiler is if he were already depressed to begin with, but never realized it until that moment when it got worse...

No offence to the dead dude, but he could've stayed alive for the Deathly Hallows movies...

It seems like people are taking this out of context. This wasn't some crazy retard who was too into the series; he was severely depressed, and this was the thing that finally claimed his life. It may sound stupid, and some may not be able to understand it, but depression severely warps your way of thinking and your life.

I have been very badly depressed before. I think I still do have bits of depression, but I am WAY better than I was before. Harry Potter may have been the only thing that he thought he had to live for, the only light in his life. When you think you have nothing to live for, and you feel desolate and worthless, and see death as way better than life, what would stop you from killing yourself?

It sounds stupid and emo, but depression is terrible, and much more potent than most realize. You can't just "get over it" or make yourself feel better. You need time, and supporting people in your life to be understanding and be willing to help you through it. I know this personally.

It sounds like he was struggling with his depression for a long time. I really wish he hadn't given up though. RIP Jude Ralston.

This guy was obviously a deeply disturbed individual. That level of obsession is not only unhealthy, its plain weird!!

I've been depressed, so I know how it feels, but I can't believe somebody would kill themselves over something so trivial. :/

I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but it's true. It's very sad! :(
