princess829 It says under 'Popular Content', there's this pick that says: Favourite couple in which the guy had a crush on the girl for a long time but she had no idea? First of all, this pick was NEVER posted in the spot & when I clicked on it, it went to the TV Couples spot. So my question is, why is it under popular content if it was never posted on the spot?

germany123 are you sure it was never there? chances are it was wrongly posted in the spot and then moved to the right one but it still appears in the popular content section. something similar happens in the updates the wrong spot is still in the updates and when you click on it you get to where it was moved to. id say its a buggy thing on the site.

I'm an observer, I see things happening and continuously in my head I'm going "WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!?!". What am I talking about exactly? Fanpop has so many features, so many different things that allows us users to do different things all the time yet people aren't using them.

You DON'T need to make your own club to post your fan fiction. Fanpop has provided you with a drop down category in the articles to be able to publish your fan fiction and for ease of use of other users to find this.

this week, fanpop reach the limit of unffair:
so, i join to fp, like a year ago, but i only start to contribute in janurary +- . for a long time my only contibutuons were for the Brtieny Spears Spot.

Hip-hip-hooray! Wow- I had just hit 20 fans and I am so excited. I have been "fanpoping" since last June and frankly at first I joined fanpop just to get to watch some videos of my favorite shows. In the beginning I don't think I even paid attention to whatever was going on with the web-site- videos were the only thing that mattered. I suppose some people do join just for that. How to get a medal for the spot

We all are really happy when we get medals for the spots. It shows that other people appreciate our contributions. So here are some advices of how to get a medal.
1) The most importante rule: don't get obssesed with getting a medal. Add just interesting things so people could like it! You add things to the spot for people not for medals. Medal is just a lovely surprise for your work!
2) Find spots you like.
3) Start contributing things on the spot.
4)You can get a medal if people rate your stuff. What can we rate? Right: videos, links, articles and images.

Ratings: We Can Do So Much Better

Ratings. They sound good in theory. What better way to know how good content is? Unfortunately, the reality is far, far different:

Trolls - We've all seen them. They rate things a one, just because they can.

Non-Raters - There is a LOT of awesome content on Fanpop that goes unrated.

Friends and Enemies - Friends get high ratings. Enemies get low ratings. It happens.

Rating Unfairly - People dish out 1-star ratings to images and videos containing characters/pairings they don't support.

Rating the Uploading Process - Content gets rated based on HOW it was uploaded instead of the quality of the actual...

Some content - what I think of as the soul of the site - is generated by users in the fora and in comments on the rest of the content and cannot be rated. Giving Back To Fanpop

So we, as users, take a lot from Fanpop every day. We watch videos, we take quiz's, share awesome links, etc. We all have gained something from Fanpop, whether it be a funny video, or a cool new website. So I was thinking that perhaps maybe once a month, if even that, a mass majority (as many users we can get) would all add one thing. Whether it be a video, a quiz, a soapbox, or even just a link, we would all be giving back. I was thinking that it could be the first of every month. Maybe even a time could be assigned to that date, which would allow other users to get to know each other and thread the community together. Perhaps at Four PM EST, we would all add something to Fanpop. I know many of you add items everyday but this would let less-contributing users thoughts be heard. These users could become hooked on Fanpop and then that's +1 more dedicated fan. I don't know if this would take off, but if it does, it could be great. Please just leave a comment.

After creating my link spot and noting the severe lack of members, curiosity got me to searching for spots on Fanpop that only had a single member (generally, their creator).

I came across spots that were months old and still only had a single member such as Chel's link spot, harold's link spot, or berly's link spot. And I thought to myself, these spots were created to meet other fans and yet there appeared to be no other fans of these topics on all of fanpop? Ridiculous! Or... maybe it's true.
