Is it true that only type of content (links) will "bump" a spot on your profile?

This has been discussed on the forums but i only very vaguely remember...
it was bugging me the fanpoppy spot wasnt moving upwards so i added a spammy link and kaboom it moved. would this also work with images? does anyone have experience? (before i spam fanpop too much :P)

unfortunately we cant (yet??) answer/comment on our own questions so im writing this to say that.i wrote an apology in the header and removed the link after i saw it had worked :. not the proper way i know- but since the fanpoppies are on their way and i go to the spot a lot it was getting a little tiring :P
