Yes. On my iPad when on fanpop. And it opens the App Store. I cannot use the back button to return to fanpop. Clearing history and website cookies helps but only for 5-10 minutes at the most.
I've decided to try private browsing to see if it makes any difference. So far so good. But then I tend to only get the advertising when I'm looking at polls so that will be the real test.

Well, what's happening is sometimes when I come to this site I automatically get sent to an ad website like a popup and I can't go back and I can't get out. And it only happens on this site.

It's almost like this site is either being spammed or hacked. I'm not sure why it keeps happening.
