Can you take control of a club you didn't create?

Since you originally posted this question, the Fanpop staff have announced that they are going to make it possible for users to have a say in the appearance of clubs that they did not create. Which I think you'll agree is great news (I can relate to your issue in that I'm an active member in some otherwise abandoned clubs).

So basically you can't do it yet, but it's going to happen soon! And it sounds like it's one of the top priorities too, so it'll likely happen before a lot of the other future changes listed here.

Changing the icons and banners sounds like it'll be straightforward. I don't know how difficult it'll be to alter mottos and club names (I'm in a club where the name is actually misspelt) but hey, maybe that'll come later!

You can't change the images, motto or title directly yourself. But you can have the images changed, and possibly the motto too, if you PM one of the F4 asking them to change it for you. It'd probably be best to have a poll in the club asking people's opinions on the new icon, banner and motto though, to show you're not changing stuff without anyone else's input. And I doubt renaming or correcting a club's name would be possible.

I've been passing thru this problem over and over again. You can't really do much, except trying to get the votes. Right now I have this problem on the link, I'm trying to change the banner and icon since both are horrible, I did the forum post and no one answered, now I did the polls and both only have two votes...
very frustrating!

Maybe you can ask your friends to vote on the polls, just to decide which banner, icon and motto are the best for the club you are trying to update.

just create another one that you can do whatever you like with it
