Fanpop Question

Wouldn't it be cool...

...if you had the option to delete anyone's wallposts, instead of just your own, if you made the club? :D Itd be cool if it worked with pictures and articles and stuff too, but at least wallposts. :3

Pros:
No trolling.
No bashing.
On topic posts.

Cons:
People would abuse such power.
People would be coming back to know why it's been deleted.
Wouldn't the person who made the post be notified?
It would offend some.
More importantly, people would abuse such power.

I think that's a great idea, but if there were people who wouldn't get some... wicked ideas about it, that'd be perfect. Now I'm judging anyone, or saying 'everybody is villainous enough to do it' I'm just saying there might be a FEW people who'd take advantage of having complete control over what a person says. Now if there were people who didn't think like that, that'd be a great feature.

Yes I think that is a good idea.
So you can also keep an eye out for trolls or other annoying folks on your club. That will save some time for the admins.

Yes and no.

It would cut down on trolling. But then there are users who would get ganged up on and never be allowed to post in some of the "clique-er" spots.

That's an intriguing idea,it would probably cut down the fights and stuff like that but it's apparent that with things such as that others would take advantage of something like that..if they see something they disagree with or something like that..I can see it being good but it might have a down side too.

It makes sense but it can go both ways. While it may cut down on trolling and spam, it could also cause it. Users with tempers could go on a rampage about their post being removed.

Ex. "So-n-so is a bitch! She removed my post for no reason!"

Even in a civil manner there would still be potential for posts asking why their post was removed which is unnecessary clutter.

Nope. Every spot is a public spot. Everyone should be allowed to post their staffs and give their opinions. The owner of the club may not like a logical criticism towards the club or towards him/her and will delete the comment or post. There is already a "report button" there to remove something wrong. It will create misunderstanding. Some of the people will start complaing about the owner of the club for their item being removed. The system of the given idea is unnecessary. The system of Fanpop is going perfecty. I appreciate F4 for creating such wonderful site.
