Fanpop Question

Is it really wrong to have picks asking people to read your article or to answer your question?

Ever since I joined Fanpop a few months ago I have heard about rules of some sort and I was wondering how people know what is taboo and what isn't. Which goes along with my question because I have read articles supporting these kinds of picks, but I recently have a read an article that states it is against "the rules". I would really like to get clarification on this matter and if possible the actual list of taboo things. Thanks in advance for help and sorry this is so long.

I guess it's not "wrong", but I think it's annoying and I will avoid whatever it is I'm being asked to do if it's posted as a pick.

I don't think it's actually against the rules, but it's a bit irritating for those who'd have no interest in the article or question. Also, it's not like they're actually gathering any sort of information from the poll. More often, it happens asking you to join a club.
