Fanpop Question

How many times do you have to report someone before they get kicked off?

Ok, I know this has been ask efore and most of you guys will give me links to where it was asked and stuff. But me and friends searched and it said 3 times. The problem is, my friends and I reported someone and there are 7 of us. We reported this user for the same reason and when we click her username, it takes us to her page. So they obviously havent been kicked off. So does anyone know why this is happening?!

Key Note: Since there are seven of us that means we reported that user seven times.

'and what was that same reason? Maybe your reason was not sufficent to the Fab4?

It depends on whether or not they actually warranted being deleted. You can report someone all you want, but if a moderator looks around and doesn't think they're going against the rules or anything, they won't be deleted.

I can't say this is the case, as I don't know the situation, but it's something to keep in mind.

Honestly, I do not know why someone would WANT to get someone kicked out of Fanpop. That just does NOT sound right to me. that is NOT the purpose of the report buttom!

C'mon! Seriously.

The report button is to report a behavior that breaks policy and for no other reason. If it doesn't break policy rules, it does not count or make for interest to deal with really. {I know there are exceptions, but a petty dispute for example. I think that wastes their time!} The button is to report an inappropriate action or incident or image that falls into that category.

I wonder how much of the Fab4's time is wasted by things that do not fit that bill?

There is no set formula that I know of. I just know it is faster if it is something very clear and obvious they can see at a glance.

If it is NOT obvious to the Fab4 then it takes "sufficent" proof. We are not the judge and the jury - THEY are. They will decide if it warrants a suspension, for how long, a warning, if you will, or what action needs to be taken. that is NEVER for "us" to decide - no matter how strongly WE feel or how clear something may be to us. Our business is not to get someone kicked out but to present something that we cannot deal with on our own that breaks Fanpop rules and LET THEM decide & deal with.

So it could take awhile and a lot if needed.
The problem is in "proving" - because it is innocent until proven guilty & they are doing the best they can. Not everyone presents hardcore factual evidence & that makes it hard for them to figure it all out. they need the truth and both sides~ FIRST, or at least I think they REALLy try.

You can report someone and they just can't login for awhile but their account page is still there...or u couldd report and complain about that person and they kicked off completely or something like banned.

I think she did get reported like u said so she just can't login or like what the guy above said, the moderator couldn't find anything wrong with the user.
