So I'm just curious...did the 'cap' thing die down or stop?

Caps are still working - you got the one for Fanpop's anniversary on 1 August, after all - it's just that, aside from holidays, the rate of collecting caps slows down a lot after the initial run. Each "frequent flier" cap more than doubles the length of the previous one, and so it'll be months and then years (like the experience caps - I won't get my "Guru" one until next June) between each one...*if* you're able to log in every day (1).


1 - Of course, it's not every day, it's actually twice a day that you need to log in for the frequent flier caps, because they seem to be based on a time stamp, rather than a calendar date. So each login has to be less than 24 hours since the last one for it to count toward the frequent flier cap. That makes sense if you log in at 3 PM on Friday and then log in at 11 AM on Saturday - you've logged in two days in a row! But if you do the reverse - log in at 11 AM on Friday and then again at 3 PM on Saturday, it doesn't count (more than 24 hours have passed)...or at least it hasn't in the past. The staff often fine-tunes/adjusts things like this.
