Fanpop Question

Do you automatically fan people back if they fan you? Why or why not?

Basically, what are your requirements for adding people?

I realise I am currently a fan of ALOT of people, but I didn't adopt the system that I have now until a few months ago. if I could unfan them all (which I wont) I'd only re-fan around a quater of them.

I agree. If people fan me then that's nice but I need to make sure there not like a rude person or anything. Like if they talk to me than I'll fan back...and stuff.

I don't care if we have absolutely nothing in common, since it's rare for the average user to have more than 5 spots in common with me. Yeah, I do the same thing. If they fan you, it's only nice to fan them back, but if they're being a jerk, then you don't want to be friends with them.

If the user has alot of fans(more than 100), props, caps ect, i won't, if they are moderate (like 50-100 fans), it depends on their personality, if its 25-50 fans, i will and if they have <25 i will fan them and give them a prop :)
These are just guidelines.

Well you know, many times it isn't even a person's fault when someone fans them. XD Yeah I realize this is an old answer, I just wanted to say this.

Sounds a lot like me. I always give a prop just to be polite, but I sometimes don't fan people back for ...reasons.

I don't know why, but i'm a fan of people who like things that I don't more then things that I do. But it's the right thing to do. thats why i add people back.

I always fan back, if i don't then i am away, like on wednesday when i went on a school trip 4 3 days, a girl on skype kept trying 2 talk to me.

This people's target very very different...
Example:to Make spam,to win prop...etc.

I'll add people first when I like how they talk with other people (aka polite and grammar sensitive), and we share some of the same interests. It depends. Has that person done anything to deserve another fan? Do they have lots of clubs in common with me? Usually I'll fan some lucky users that fan me first, but sometimes they're unintelligent users. I like to fan the people I can hold a decent conversation with. That way, I can contact them in case anything interesting happens in one of our clubs, and get a good response.

Yes, I do. It just seems like common courtesy. I do always run a quick check to make sure they aren't jerks or flamers first, though, and I do like it if we have more than one club in common.

Even more-so, I like a person who will actually interact with me, geek out about shared interests, what have you. The fan list IS supposed to be a friend list, after all, but most people seem to think of it as something else.

I agree that more people should actually interact with the people they fan. I don't talke regularly with anyone in my fanlist, and really, it's no fun to fan alone. = (
