Fanpop Question

How do I delete my account on Fanpop?

I sadly have to delete my fanpop account, but I don't know how. Is there a way, or am I going to have to never go on it again?

Just out of curiosity: WHY do you have to delete your account? I've seen a lot of these answer requests lately, and I don't get why someone would delete their account. Is it a bad user name, or what?

^ Sometimes it could be for harrassment issues or their saftey may be threatened. Stalker wise, some people don't like to have their profile layed out for the world to see. *shrugs*

Until today, users couldn't remove their accounts. As of Wednesday, March 23, 2011, you can access a page that enables you to remove your account by going to your profile page, clicking Edit Profile, and then clicking the link provided for removing your account.

You don't. But you can use the link link at the bottom of any page to write to the staff to request to have your account deleted.

If you intend to open a new account, please make sure to contact the staff first BEFORE you create a second account, as multiple accounts from the same IP address can get you banned (and it is much more work to get reinstated after a ban).

The closest you can come if making another account and reporting your old one until it gets deleted, but it seems like a lot of trouble to go to to delete and account.
Why delete it? Isn't just not using it enough?
