it depends..depends on what they did/ why they were banned. no one can answer this because there is no fixed time..it can be anything between an hour and a lifetime.
if you get banned for comment spamming youll likely be unbanned fairly soon (if you just wrote something like *OMG HE IS SO HAWT <3<3* over an over again.)
if however you wrote *call this number 038928899 and win a free ipod* or *go to www.iamsostealingyourcreditcardinfo.com and type in your details to win a free ipod thats actually not free cause we are liars* youll likely be banned forever cause youre a bad bad spammer.

and who knows why your friend- or second account ;)- got banned? if you really think there was a mistake you can message the f4 but remember they are busy people and chances are your "friend" was banned for a reason!
