Can anybody tell me if this work is good enough to upload on FanFicion, or if it's just crap? It's the first half of chapter 1 to a story I am writing, however I've always had a problem with writing. I'm Dyslexic, so my work always comes out as a jumbled or scrambled mess, even though my story is clear in my head it just never comes out that way whenever I try to writeT_T So if you have time, care or interest please read this and tell me what you think, all criticism is welcome, just don't be too harsh, okay. Thank you, and any help and or advice would be highly appreciated.

Chapter 1

‘I know this isn’t the way things are meant to be.’

The thought echoed in his mind. ‘It is not meant to be like this… I…’

‘I am…’

The thought stopped there. Really who was he really, a demon, a lord, someone with the potential to rule over vast lands with an army of demons unrivaled in the known world, all crying in salutation and praise for… Sesshomaru…. Sesshomaru, all hail the great Lord? He could hear the words, the roar of the crowds pronouncing the all too familiar sound of his name with no less a force than the waves crashing upon the seas coast. He could hear it echoing along no differently in the background of… ‘who am I… am I really…. It is not supposed to be like this.’

‘… it’s not supposed to be like this!’

‘Damn it!’

A wave crashed against a rock, the force was harder this time for the white spray came noticeably closer. His eye caught upon the droplets as they fell and landed on the gray terrain before him. He felt it, even though he were yards away the slightest chill from the droplets as they came soaring through the air sending out waves of cold that vertebrate outwards to meet his skin. The sensation was no different than actual contact, being in such close vicinity. He took a mental note of it, but that was all. Even though such a skill was what made his power truly admirable, it was nothing new to him, since he was born with it.

It was in his makeup, having been born into such a high class and noble family his hearing and sense of smell weren’t the only senses about him that were keen he could also feel out the differences of the world around him, a skill which ran in the family. Every hair on his body was like a tiny antenna, where even the tiniest feeling like a falling droplet of water could send tremors running through him signaling to him that a droplet had fallen. It’s how he was always aware even when asleep, that something was happening or all was calm his body knew it before his mind does, sometimes long before; it’s one of the secrets to his skill, as well as to his power.

Consciously he would be aware of this and every time attribute as much of it to his pride as the mental note accounted for. It now told him that many droplets fad fallen and that they had come closer, much closer. He looked to the horizon.

But there was something else his senses were telling him.

The winds were blowing harder now. The sky has been fully overcast since daybreak, but it wasn’t until an hour ago did he care to notice. The sky was dark, grayish blue with a hint of green, a storm was brewing, and it was Typhoon season. That time of the year, and a single great storm had yet to have its say over the lands of this mortal world.

How strange it felt to realize he was an immortal being in a mortal world, and how alien this recognition made him feel being so far away from where he rightfully belonged, as though he had crossed into a strange foreign land. Though he had walked these paths countless times before, only now did it occur to him how different he truly was, from what lay around him, and from the very trepidation which brought up from his gut, he was a lord, he was superior… he was….

He gritted his teeth. He was… bleeding.

It has been one day since the encounter but his wounds had yet to close on their own. He knew the reason for this, it was shock. Such trauma had its way to affect the body’s functions, and in this case prevented him from healing. He just couldn’t accept it…. How… how did this happen…. When did I become so weak?

Weakness, it had to be…. He was injured and there was n excuse for that. What else could it be?

What else could it have been?

A day ago he came upon this demon, was he just being careless… a demon he had assumed was of no particular threat to him, and yet before he had successfully slew the fool for annoying him, the demon managed to get in one good hit on him.

A common ogre, with its spiked mallet, and he doesn’t know how it really happened but somehow before the beast succumbed to the form of rubble on the grass of the valley where the incent occurred the ogre somehow manage to swing his mallet well enough to have hooked his left shoulder and grazed it with a deep red bruise.

The shock of this drove Sesshomaru to kill this beast with far more power than was clearly necessary. It was only for a instant that he let his anger get the better of him, but it was enough to send the body of that ogre, a creature that was at least ten times his size into bite sized parts… too bad he doesn’t eat ogre, this would have been far too convenient. But he was no such beast, and the scent of the ogre’s blood only disgusted him, so he moved on. Ignoring the dulling pain that nagged from his shoulder as he moved on, however not a moment too soon.

“Sesshomaru!”

Came the familiar voice. It was Inuyasha, and of course it was. Only he would pop out of the woodwork at a time like this… what?

“What did you do with that ogre? Where is it?”

Hm, Sesshomaru thought to himself as he glared back at him, covering his curiosity with his typical mask of ice. What is this idiot babbling about, why would he care about some forgettable ogre? But the demand came again, “Sesshomaru, what did you do with it?”

“I killed it.” Came the obvious response. What else was there to say, the facts were obvious. The blood was in the air and his back was to the valley where the remains lay. What other outcome could be more obvious? He was Inuyasha, his nose had to be as keen to pick up the right messages, he was of the same blood line, just being a damn half-breed couldn’t affect his skills that much could it? Could it?

“Damn you Sesshomaru! I knew it!”

This was confusing and a bit irritating, for who cares about a damn ogre, this boy was starting to annoy him more than usual, when Inuyasha spouted out, “Damn it, I knew I should have came sooner. That Ogre knew something about the demon that attacked our village. I had yet to make it talk. And you killed it!”

Oh, now it makes sense. He wanted information out of it. Hm, oh such a pity, Sesshomaru though then shrugged inwardly while passively turning away, all the while saying the words, “If your village was attracted who’s fault was it that it happened in the first place?” it was all he needed to say.

The ever predictable hanyou came flying. Sword unsheathed and flaring out, “damn you Sesshomaru… that beast almost killed Kagome!” The last syllable of his words fell just as their swords clashed, sending a flash of light out from the impact. The Tenseiga sang in unison with the Tetsuaiga’s searing roar. Of course he drew the Tenseiga, it was not a weapon, and at the moment he cared not to see the Tetsuaiga dissolve into a puddle of molten scrap metal from the power of his prized Bakusaiga. He only intended to block the attack, which he succeeded in doing with relative ease, however... baka.

Sesshomaru was in no mood for this, nor for Inuyasha at this particular moment and made a bold move to send the boy out flying well beyond the line of the trees with hopes that he’ll take the hint and get lost, but of course just as he should have known the last thing he heard was “Wind Scare!” the light from the attack blinded him, yet with his special skills was able to dodge the attack before the blades could cut him, but that wasn’t the end of his brother’s attack. For before he knew it Inuyasha was on top of him, swords clashed in mid air. Again he sent him flying before landing gracefully on his toes upon the soft ground, this time maybe… when his ears picked up, “Adamant Barrage!” Alarm struck him, just as a sudden pain struck through his arm and lower side, a lesser streak from his lower leg and he realized just as he moved that he had been hit. Though he blocked the majority of the greater shards some of the smaller ones and their splinters had pierced him. The shock was more than he could bear, for not only did that lowly creature from before get it hit on him, so did not his little brother, a hanyou. The fact must have been obvious for next he heard, “heh! How you like that! You Bastard!” Naturally it came with a nulling feeling to respond with silence; he would not justify his brother senseless words with as much as a retort. He sneered.

‘That little bastard actually hit me!’ At that instant he was soaring through the air. His body obviously sprang to action before his mind could catch up. And realized once it did that he had run away, he was soaring through the winds.

Knowing full well that he had escaped…. His right hand was clinging to the wound on his upper arm, blood pouring out from between his fingers like little messengers of his misfortune leaving a trail of crimson mockery behind him, not even conscious of the fact that the same was occurring from his abdomen and lower leg… but over all that he was running away… Away. Why, and from what?

He was humiliated, embarrassed beyond belief. Not only did he fail to win the battle and defeat his brother with ease, which he absolutely knew he could do, instead he fled. Fled, as though he had run from a fight… as if he knew fear, no, he knew that wasn’t the reason, it was not fear that drove him away, it was… it was…. what was it? Some form of dreaded apprehension stirred in him, was it from his heart, why did he run away? What was it he was really running from? Once again the words echoed in the depth of his mind… ‘No… it isn’t supposed to be like this…. Who am I?’
Damon was lying on the autopsy table, bare naked. A man in a white coat was standing over him, holding a scalpel in his hand.
Jeremy was standing at the reception of the police office, impatiently waiting for the sheriff to show up. After a few minutes a door went open and Liz came inside. “Jeremy, hi, can I help you?”
“There was an accident tonight” Jeremy quickly started without an introduction. “What happened to the body?”
The coroner placed the scalpel next to Damon’s clavicle.
Liz arrayed her paperwork, taking her time to answer. “I don’t see why I should share that kind...

Damon raced outside and got into his car. He turned around the keys and drove onto the street. He then pushed the accelerator pedal and raced ahead.
He tried to keep his eyes open. He should have drunken some blood, if only just a little bit. He could almost feel his body breaking inside. But he had to stay awake long enough to get to the hospital.
Other drivers were hooting, because he drove from right to left and from left to right.
“Where did you get your driving license?!” someone yelled angry.
Damon felt his eyes fall down. The car drove for another few yards, while other drivers tried to avoid it.
Then the car drove off the road, turned over three times, landed on its upper side and caught fire.
Stefan looked around him. Rebekah had brought him to a party for which they weren’t invited. But she had used her charms to have the owner of the house to invite them in. “What are we doing here?”
“Doing groceries” Rebekah replied. She let her eyes glide over the guests as if she was comparing products.
“I have blood bags” Stefan said. Rebekah gave him a disgusted look. “I’m not eating deep fried food. I prefer it to be fresh. Sure you agree”
“Blood is blood” Stefan said.
“There” Rebekah pointed at the corner left from Stefan. “He looks yummy”
“Rebekah” Stefan...

They were sitting on the same terrace Elena had had ice cream with Damon when Derek grabbed a chair from the table next to theirs and invited himself.
“How are you guys doing?” he asked looking from Stefan to Elena. He’d never seen the blonde girl before and thus he didn’t pay much attention to her.
“Did Damon send you?” Elena asked short.
“What? No!” Derek said desperate. He looked around before he continued. “But it’s because of him I’m here. He’s not doing good, Elena. He’s a total wreck”
“He should’ve thought about that before he attacked the poor girl” Rebekah...

Bonnie walked with her plate to a table and wanted to start eating when she felt a pair of eyes burning in her back. She looked up and saw Keith standing next to her shooting her a meaningful glance. Bonnie, not wanting to be rude, waved at the seat opposite of her. Keith walked around the table, put his plate down and sank on the chair.
“Keith Dason” Keith introduced himself. Bonnie accepted his hand. “Bonnie Bennett” she said. She started eating.
Keith, however, didn’t touch his food, but kept staring at Bonnie. Bonnie looked up, feeling uneasy. She swallowed.
“Why, eh, why are...

“Goodnight!” Derek said as he entered his new bedroom.
Damon and Elena were standing with their backs to each other, getting undressed. Elena slowly rotated her head and peaked over her shoulder. Damon had taken of his shirt and Elena swallowed. She’d never get used to that body. She shook her head and looked eyes front again. As she took out her top Damon slowly looked over his shoulder. She had laid her hair over her shoulder and he noticed she was wearing a dark purple bra. Damon imagined how he walked to her. He slowly went with his hand over her back and opened her bra. His fingers...

Elena, Caroline and some other people were standing by their lockers, getting ready to go home.
“How come Bonnie didn’t show?” Elena asked, acting careless. Caroline focused on her books she was putting in her locker and avoided Elena’s stare. “I think she’s not ready for it yet” she said uneasy.
“She’s not ready for it yet? Okay, that’s…completely understandable, given the things she’s been through” Elena replied sarcastic.
Caroline averted her head and looked at her best friend with a sad expression. “She’s not ready to face you guys. She’s not ready to see...

“It’s alright, you can take your time” the doctor said. She stared at the young woman who was sitting opposite of her and hadn’t said a word since she walked in.
“I need help” Bonnie eventually said with a small voice. The doctor nodded. “That’s why you’re here. Acknowledging you’re powerless is the first step and you’ve taken it”
“I’ve done horrible things” Bonnie said staring at the desk. “And my victims will carry the scars forever”
“That’s how things look like right now” the doctor said. “In time it could change. They can learn to live with it, as...

Ronnie opened the door to let in whoever was knocking. “Seriously, flowers? Can you say cheesy?”
Tyler put the flowers in Ronnie’s hands. “This is me saying I’m sorry”
“And it took you seven days to get those words over your lips?” Ronnie asked sarcastic.
“No, I just hoped you’d be more forgiving by now” Tyler answered. “Can I come in?” Ronnie looked around as if she wanted to check if he’d come alone. “How did you find me?”
“Eh, Caroline’s mom is the sheriff of Mystic Falls. It was pretty easy” Tyler confessed.
“Oh, I see” Ronnie sighed. “Well, I suppose...

The door of the Boarding House went open, but Damon didn’t bother to go see who it was. He was washing up all glasses he had used to drink. He heard footsteps, soft, it was a female. But again he didn’t bother. He didn’t expect Elena to come back.
“Hey”
The glass in his hand shattered into little pieces. He felt how Bonnie came closer to him and she lay her hand on his shoulder. He shivered, but didn’t turn around.
“There’s glass in your hand” Bonnie noted. “Let me help you” She wanted to take his hand to pick out the fragments, but Damon pulled his hand away. “Okay,...

Elena got out of the shower. Drying her hair with a towel she went downstairs to open the door and let Caroline in.
“Hi” she said as Caroline walked in.
“Hi” Caroline replied. “Can we talk?”
“Is it about Damon? ‘Cause then I don’t want to hear it” Elena kind of begged.
“Well, I’m sorry, but it is” Caroline said. “And I think you should hear this”
Elena shrugged. “Fine, then” she sighed. “Let’s go to my room, I don’t want Jeremy nor Ric to hear us”
And thus Caroline followed Elena upstairs. As Elena fell down on the bed she looked at Caroline. “So, what...

Ronnie was sitting on the hospital bed while the doctor carefully pulled out the fragments and disinfected the wounds. Tyler was standing with his back towards her.
“I’m really sorry” he said for the umpteenth time.
“Yeah, I got that from the first zillion times” Ronnie said with a small voice. “Ouch”
“Please sit still, I don’t want to make these wounds any worse” the doctor said.
“Right, sorry” Ronnie said. When all fragments were removed and all wounds disinfected the doctor turned around at Tyler.
“Can you leave us alone for a second?” he asked.
“Yeah, sure”...

Damon opened the door of the bathroom and collided to Elena, who was staring at him with crossed arms.
“What?” Damon asked. Elena was giving him this reproachful look.
“Are you going to tell me what happened last night?” Elena said.
“No” Damon refused. “What’s there to tell? I had a bad dream. It’s not uncommon, you can look it up”
“But I thought they were over? Is this why you want us to sleep in separate rooms? So I wouldn’t know? Damon, you can’t keep those kind of things from me. If someone’s trying to hurt you you have to tell me” Elena said caring.
Damon walked...

“So this is where Damon and I first met” Elena said standing in the entrance hall.
“Interesting” Caroline said. “Come on, let’s get outside” She grabbed Elena’s hand and dragged her outside.
While Caroline and Elena were having fun outside, Damon was in the kitchen slicing the cake. The cake had been another idea of Caroline. Both Damon and Elena thought it was a little too much, but Caroline was not easy to say no to.
Damon felt how someone was watching his back and he turned around seeing Alaric in the doorway. He turned around again and carried on with the cake.
“You need...

Caroline and Tyler were sitting at the table. Caroline was taxing. “I’ve been trying to call Bonnie all day. Do you have any idea where she could be?” Tyler didn’t answer and so Caroline looked up, seeing him staring at the red-haired girl that was walking out the bar. Caroline pushed Tyler’s arm and he looked back front. “What?” he asked pulling his shoulders.
“I asked if you knew where Bonnie is” she said a little grumpy, though Tyler not responding right away was not the reason for her sudden change of mood.
“No” Tyler said. “I thought you said she was on a vacation...

The door of the Boarding House opened and Elena entered. She looked around, but didn’t see anyone.
“I’m hooooome” she called.
“I’m heeeeeere” Damon called back. Elena threw her schoolbag on the ground and ran to the bathroom. She opened the door and saw Damon lying in the tub. She bent on her knees, lay her hands on his cheeks and kissed him passionately. Damon went with his fingers through her hair and pulled her closer.
“I missed you” Elena sighed between two kisses.
“I missed you too” Damon said soft. Elena slowly pulled away. “Can you tell me why you’re in bath right...

“Where’s Zoey?” was the first thing Daphne asked.
“She’s at the hospital” a nurse said. “She’ll be alright, but you need to go too, for a checkup”
Daphne shook her head. “I feel fine” she mumbled. She looked down and realized she was naked under the sheet. She looked helpless at Cas. He wrapped the sheet around Daphne’s body like a dress and lifted her in his arms.
The crowd parted when he came their way and walked past them.
Twelve seconds later they were home. The door was still open and Cas carried Daphne over the doorstep. He carried her upstairs to the third room...

Hundreds of Leviathans drifted over the complete surface of the lake. Lifeless Cas’ body sunk to the bottom. His bare feet touched the ground and his eyes flashed open. He looked up and saw sun rays sparkling on the surface. He jumped up and started swimming.
Two women were jogging in the woods, one of them wearing a field-glass around her neck.
“Can we have a break, already?” the brunette said, leaning against a tree.
“Oh, come on, we’ve only been running for-” the one with the field glass said.
“-45 minutes, but who’s counting?” the brunette said.
“It’s been 45 minutes,...

Morning came in, but Elena was too tired to get up. It had been 4 am when she had fallen asleep and even then it was a restless night. However she felt a sudden weight on her bed and a shadow covering her face.
She opened her eyes and stared in Damon’s face. She was awake right away. She sat up and threw her arms around Damon.
“You’re alive!” she cried. She held onto him like she would never let go.
“Yeah, some cop helped me” Damon said. “I had to compel him, though. He wanted me to go to the hospital”
“I wanted to go find you” Elena said, letting go of Damon. “But Stefan...
