Is Lucy gonna be as strong as Erza in the end?

i dont think she will ever really compare to erza, i mean, erza is crazy strong

but i think Lucy was portrayed as weak at the beginning so that she could build up her strength throughout the series, i don't think she can be ERZA strong, but we are probably looking at the strongest celestial wizard ever! :)

I'm sure Lucy will get stronger than she is now, but we can't forget that Erza will be getting stronger at the same time. Sure, she might become, like, the strongest celestial mage ever, but I don't think she'll ever surpass Erza.

Well I think Lucy is pretty strong cuz she has almost all the golden gate keys but still, she get protected. She never shows off her stregnth because people keep on coming in and saying 'No! Fight me! Lucy, go find the others ..... blah blah blah" and it ticks me off. 8<

Yeah I know everyone loves Natsu for several reasons but Lucy is the MAIN CHARACTER. I think They nee to hold of Natsu a little bit. :)

no. but she is definetely becoming stronger and stronger every event they went through. she is not always the one being protected. fairy tail members protect each other, and she is both protecting her comrades and being protected. the first sentence of your additional question as i called them is wrong. she and erza are both becoming stronger and stronger. though she's becoming stronger every minute she spends in fairy tail, she will not be able to catch up with erza. but she will be STRONG someday. maybe even one of the strongest in fairy tail.

The first thought that popped in my mind as I saw this question was, hmmm...............NOT A CHANCE. but then again who knows, she is slowly amassing all 12 golden keys, who knows maybe after amassing them, she could use it to summon the celestial king.

Lucy is definitely becoming stronger, i don't think she'll ever be stronger than Erza. There have been times where Lucy has shown to be a strong celestial wizard, remember when she managed to summon all of her spirits at once when she saved Loke? Had it been anyone else and they would have died. I think when Lucy has all 12 Zodiac Keys, she'll get her chance to shine. ( Once Natsu and everyone stop trying to save her all the time and give her a chance to defend herself lolz)

If Lucy is stronger than Erza, Natsu would become useless since he does not need to protect Lucy.

guys, does anybody here remembers that this series is an anime and that she is the main character? i'm sure she will be THE strongest in the team eventually, and of course the strongest celestial wizard! your right that erza and the others are crazy strong but she will surpress all of them' even that she seems pretty weak now, espeically next to monsters like erza.

I hope Hiro will give her a chance to get stronger without team Natsu following her and by giving her a chance to get some trained so maybe by the end she will become one of the most powerful because I kinda feel sorry for her character like when she was battling flare and she was cheated out of her victory and they need her character to learn how to fight without her keys because she got beaten up by Minerva not just she is teamed up with overpowered characters. I kinda think she is not showing her full potential but she could be given a chance to become a lot stronger if someone trains her and she starts doing solo missions tell she at least get strong enough to become a S class mage. If she gets trained by a really powerful S class mage or even better a wizard saint she's defiantly got a chance to become the strongest if she shows determination. I know she has the potential to be the best if she wants to because she has only been in the gild for 6 months when Team Natsu took the S class exam and had a seven year time skip so if u do not count the time skip it might be a year since she joined and I already know from the beginning she is pretty strong for a steller spirit mage because she sumened all her silver and gold keys to save Loke and she has ten gold keys at the moment she is capable of learning cater magic like Urano Metria that so I she could most likely learn other cater magics and apparently Urano Metria has the same seal as Heavenly body magic so there could be hope she could learn the same magic as jallal. but she did do a unison raid with juvia and one more thing she dose have an whip and one she was given by vergo so she can probably be given other weapons if she learns how to use them. I am hoping near the end the manages to be at least as strong as her team mates because I don't like it that at the moment she is like a mascot or a damsal in dissress and even wendy she showing to be more usefull just because she is a dragon slayer. the creator needs to focus on her strength not just to make her a fan service character. Because she has all these points I believe she has so much potential and if she dose not show it by the end a lot of fans will be really desponted.

You never know. There are many things that could happen. However, Lucy is not the one that's ALWAYS being protected. Do you remember Lucy's battle with Angel, or Flare. She showed every thing that has to do with strength during those battles. There may be more battles that Lucy got involved with that I'm forgetting, but even when she's not fighting she protects her friends from the pain of losing her by staying alive. Her determination and strength is what inspires all the celestial spirits and her guild mates. If she was "helpless" she wouldn't have all the gate keys that she has now, she won't have joined Fairy Tail in the first place, she wouldn't have ran away from home, she wouldn't have taken the risk to be shot across the world when she was trapped in the Infinity Clock, she wouldn't have had the strength to live on when her mother died as a little girl, she wouldn't have stood up to her father or Jose, she wouldn't have stayed in the water with Minerva just to earn points for her team, she wouldn't have risked her life to save Loki when he was about to disappear, etc. Trust me I could go on and on. Just like everyone in FT, Lucy is strength. She is as strong and admirable as everyone else. And what's wrong with being protected? Natsu protected Erza from Jellal, everyone protected Makrov and one another from Acnologia, Gajeel protected Levy, etc. They are all being protected because of the love they have for one another. Stop looking at the aspect of physical strength. Look Erza isn't called Titania just because of her physical stregnth. That title is given to her because of her courage, leadership, and unwavering love for her comrades. Besides, as time progresses Lucy will get stronger and she will blow our minds away! Watch what you say...

Unless some sort of mysterious power takes Erza's powers and gives them to Lucy, I doubt Lucy will ever become as strong as Erza is. Erza is simply too strong.

Shes probably wont be as strong as Erza but shell probably be about the same or mybe even a litlle less.

Lucys only portrayed as weak in the beginning so people will be surprised as she gets stronger and stronger. Lik in the Moon Drip ep wen she managed to brek Sherry's puppetier spell with Taurus and she also tricked her by pulling out Bleu.

I honestly don't know what the future has in store, but she will get stronger I bet, but not as strong as Erza though, Erza has been in battles ever since she was little, Lucy may have been able to use her magic but probably not as frequent or as long as Erza. Lucy can be stronger then Erza, but she has to train every, single, day. The stronger she gets, the stronger her Celestial Sprits. I don't think the anime or the Manga will ever let that happen, but Lucy can be stronger if she trains more.

well actually during the tartaros arc Lucy's true potential is shown. She summons 3 celestial spirits at once, then the celestial spirit king and performs uranometria. And during episode 32 she summons all her spirits at once. So I guess the answer is in general combat Erza will always be more powerful but at Lucy's full potential she is more powerful then Erza.

Lucy is weak. yep, that's right. Lucy herself is weak. all she has is stardress, Lisanna could beat that, no problem at all. Saying she can catch up to Erza is insulting Erza and overestimating Lucy way too much, Lucy's not stronger than Juvia, Wendy or Kagura even with her spirits
