Okay, since school is about to start, which I hate, I decided to make a middle school one shot! Lol, so, enjoy! And if it's sloppy I'm sorry, I wrote this at 3 in the morning because I couldn't sleep. Tdi never happens!
________
Courtney's POV
Ahh, finally, 8th grade. A few more years and I am off to college to become a lawyer! Ah, I can't wait.
I walked in that first day straight to my locker, my locker was next to someone who I didn't like, at all, her name was Heather, and since my last name was 'Abane', a last name I hated with a passion, I was at the front of the lockers, having only one locker neighbor.
"Hello, Heather, ready for another year of school?" I greeted.
She said, "Nope, my summer was just getting good."
"Well, maybe you should try putting all the fun stuff at the beginning, like I do."
She scoffed and closed her locker, "I don't need advice from you." Then she walked to first period.
Courtney shook her head silently then noticed she was one of the first ones there. She smiled to herself and grabbed her books, then went to first period, Physical Science.
"Hello, Mrs. Kendall." I said to the teacher.
"Hello, take a seat anywhere, we don't have seating charts here." She said, I took a seat in the front, and saved a seat for my good friend Bridgette.
Soon the student came filing in, Bridgette came in and sat by me and said to me, "Guess what, there are two new hot guys here, I checked out their schedules and they have the same schedule as us! And there's this new annoying kid named Killwan."
"Really? What are the guys' names?" I asked.
"Duncan and Geoff, Geoff is totally my type, but Duncan...not so much your type. But yet you two are TOTALLY perfect!"
"Really? Is that-" I turned my head towards the door and saw a blonde tall guy enter, he had a cowboy hat on, and our school uniform, shorts and a collared shirt with our insignia on it.
The second guy had black hair, and a black Mohawk, yet I could see green at the roots of it. He had obvious holes in his face and ears, and was wearing the same thing as his friend. I said, "I suspect that's the one you mean." I gestured to Duncan.
"Yep." Bridgette said. Hey, who knows, maybe this year won't be so bad.
__________
Duncan's POV:
If I can make it one semester, I can make it a second. I thought to myself the first day back from winter break, I was sitting in English class next to Courtney, I've been trying to get her since the first day of school.
First I started to flirt, you know give her pet names and stuff. I called her Princess, cause she totally acted like one.
Then, I started to put my arm around her, hold her hand, use schemes to get her to admit that she likes me, foolproof plans, but somehow she wouldn't fall for them.
Man, I even tried the jealousy card! I dated this other girl, named Gwen, to make her jealous. Then I remembered, 'Dude, we're only 14.'
Then for the first time, I gave up. After that it was like she was going after me, trying to get my attention and stuff. We became friends somehow and we were partners in ever class.
To be honest I hated being just friends, she did too.
So during a movie during English I got a piece of notebook paper and wrote;
Admit it.
Then slyly put it in her lap.
She looked at me then looked at the note. She started to write.
Is this ANOTHER one of your schemes? I thought we agreed to be just friends.
Princess, I'm sorry, but I know I don't wanna be just friends. I want to be more, do you?
Duncan, really? Through a note you're asking me this?
Princess, I'm original, remember?
Fine, what is it, Dunk?
Hah, nice, Do you like me, more than friends?
I heard her sigh, then I felt her kick my leg lightly and she whispered, "Meet me on the Nicholson Center right after school." I nodded.
***
I was walking up to the gym, and walking. Why they had to put the gym so far up on the hill I will never know!
I entered the gym and saw Princess standing there by the door, she said only one thing, "Yes, but we're only in middle school Duncan, it's not like we'll last forever."
And I remember this story for one reason only, because we dated and look where we are now. We are 26 and getting married in 30 minutes.
And she said this wouldn't last. Hah, I'm getting married to my middle school sweetheart.
Damn, I sound like a woose.

Im so sorry I haven't been writing lately I'm just having a bad case of writers block it's killing me. Whenever I'm so close to a good idea I either find out it's already taken or I forget. I promise I'll have at least one done before next week but to make up for it here's a mini article.
