Courtney's P.O.V.
Bridgette suddenly started crying. She was also panting, it sounded like she'd ran all the way to all of her friends houses' without stopping.
"I want to know where Geoff is." She sobbed. "I have to tell him something."
"Sh, Bridgette calm down. Tell me what happened." I sat down on Duncan's couch beside her, my problems forgotten.
"I went to the doctor and he said that I had a rare replacement disorder..."
"A rare what?!" Duncan interrupted. I silenced him with one of my famous glares.
"I-It means I missed him so much that I was trying to replace him with someone else."
That explains Jean-Marrie I thought as she continued with her story.
"S-s-so he said I needed to find Geoff right away and spend a lot of time with him so that I could get over it. So then I went to Geoff's house but no one was there. And I-I tried calling his cell but no one answered. So I ran all the way to Gwen's, to your house, to Trent's, to DJ's and finally here to find him. But he's not here. And he wasn't anywhere else either."
She paused and started to cry again.
"I think I might know where Geoff is." Duncan muttered suddenly.
"W-w-where?" Bridgette managed to say through tears.
"He kept telling me and Trent and Dj how much he missed you when he wasn't crying 24/7. Then he said he got this email or text message or something that you started dating some French guy. And he kept saying he'd jump off a cliff if you were."
"Duncan!" I slapped him. "Why didn't you tell us that!?!"
"We thought he was joking!"
"You don't joke about suicide!" I screamed. "What cliff is he going to jump?!"
"I don't know! Do you expect me to know every cliff in Vancouver?!?"
I sighed angrily and tore apart his house in search of a map. Five minutes later we were all in Duncan's parents' car. It was a BMW, probably from the money he got from TDA. Bridgette tried calling Geoff's cell again and for some odd reason he actually answered.
"Hello? This is the last phone call I'm ever going to answer so can you dudes please make it something to remember before I die?" Bridgette had put it on speaker so we could all hear it.
"Geoff! Don't jump off the cliff! Do you hear me?! It's me Bridgette!"
"Bridgette?!? No, you're not real babe. This is my imagination. You cheated on me!"
"I could never cheat on you! I'm your girl!"
I glared at Duncan as she said this. Cheater.
"I didn't cheat on you." He whispered. "Why do you not believe me! You're always deciding that I've cheated on you! Are you jealous or something?"
"No, what do I have to be jealous of?" I screamed.
"I don't know, tell me!"
"I am not jealous of Gwen at all. She has nothing I want."
"Oh than why do you always accuse me of hooking up with her while I'm dating you?"
"Because you are!"
"You guys," Bridgette interrupted our argument. "I'm trying to save my boyfriend's life here."
Duncan slouched back into his seat. "Well if you want us to shut up why don't you tell this jealous little drama queen that I didn't cheat on her!"
"Fine. Courtney, I'm sorry but this is pathetic. Duncan didn't cheat on you. He loves you. And if you're to stupid to notice it's your own fault." She turned back to the phone after these words and spoke soothingly to Geoff, trying to convince him she wasn't cheating or his imagination. She told him about her disorder too.
I was shocked by her words. I let go of the steering wheel and just sat there, dumbstruck. She even had the nerve to call me stupid. The car shifted off the road from the neglect of being steered. Duncan in the seat beside me quickly reached over and tried to steer it from the passenger seat. The car was still swerving around wildly and I could see the cliff in the distance. We were going about 150 so it was rapidly getting closer.
"Move over." Duncan grunted and unbuckled himself to seat in my seat to steer. I still sat there, unable to move.
Bridgette turned her eyes to the road and let out a shrill scream. "I can see Geoff on the cliff! And we're about to fall off!"
"Hit the brakes Courtney!" Bridgette screamed.
Oh, right. The brakes. Why didn't I think of that?
I slammed my foot down on the pedal and the BMW shuddered to a halt. A few feet away was Geoff, staring at us like a deer in a car's headlights.
"Geoff!!!" Bridgette screeched in delight and ran towards him. He quickly caught her and hugged her tightly for several minutes.
I was still sitting in the car with Duncan. I turned to him. "I'm sorry for all that cheating on me stuff." I apologized and lowered my gaze to the gas pedal.
"This would have been a lot more fun if I had a really long lecture to punish you with." He commented.
"Do you forgive me?" I asked hopefully, staring at him again.
"Fine. On one condition."
"What?" I sounded really desperate.
"You will never cheat on me or accuse me of cheating." He smirked.
"Anything for you." I smiled and it ended just like any fairytale. With a kiss.
