My whole bodie was in pain, everything hurt and I couldn't move. I
continued to lay their with my eyes closed, my heart was
pounding. I slowly started to open my eyes, to an unfamiliar
hospital room. I wanted to get up and leave, but I couldn't find my
strength. And that's when the doctor came into the room.
"I see your a wake, we have already contacted your mom and she's on her way." My heart felt like it was gonna explode out of
my chest. "There are a couple of people who would like to see you, I could tell them it isn't the Time if that's what you want" my
mouth was so drie but I managed to say "It's ok." In the smallest
voice. "Very well then....their'll be in shortly." I started thinking to
myself and asking questions like what am I doing here and what
the hell is going on? Briggette came in the room along with geoff
and.....Duncan. Then it all came back to me.briggette instantly
gave me a hug, while geoff sat in one of the chairs at the end of
the bed and duncan just stood their starring at me. "How are you feeling?" Briggette must have came back earlier cuz she said she
would be back on Monday and I'm pretty sure it's sunday. "Well-"
I was then cut off by duncan " what the hell is wrong with you?"
I didn't know how to reply so I didn't. "Duncan?" Briggette
snapped. That's when the doctor came in with my mom. "Sorry, but the patient's mom is here, I'll have to ask you to leave."
Duncan stormed off, but briggette and geoff waved wich made
me feel a little better.
"I'll let you two talk" the doctor said before walking off. "They want me to put you in a drug program for teens and-" I cut my
mom off with "that's bullshit......" a drug program is the last thing
I wanted. "Courtney?" I mom sound a little frustrated. "I'm not putting you in the program.....I can't afford that shit,but if this ever happens again.......it's gonna be rehab for you. Do you understand?" I Couldn't believe what she said but I didn't feel like
arguing "I understand." For about a half of a second my mom
looked...........sad before she said " get your shit we're leaving."
My mom dropped me off at duncan's because I told her to, its not
like I have anywhere else to go. When I walked in the house I
noticed it was still a mess from the party. I heard a few voices
in the basement, so I just started to clean cuz it was better than
having to explain what happened. " You don't have to do that....I'll do it later." Duncan said kind of startled me. "And sorry about earlier, I was just......" He didn't finish his sentence but I knew
were he was heading with it. "It's fine." I said because it was all
I could think of. "No its not.....I was really worried about you."
And then I blurted out "worried?" after I said that I instantly
wished I hadnt. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be? Your one of my closest friends ya know." Duncan said with me replying "stop" in the
smallest voice. It hurt. It hurt. Why? Because it mattered. "What?"
I could have told him the truth but I just would of hurt myself
knowing me could hear me but couldn't and wouldn't understand.
So instead I just smiled and looked at him and to my surprise he
