help me find my dream dog!

hey guys, ive been on a somewhat desperate search for a new puppy or dog lately so i need your help!

all i want is breed suggestions (MUST be small or meduim dog and preferably a mix)

and some sites where i can find a variety of dogs

I would suggest going for personality and tempermant rather than looks. Nail down all the things that you want/ don't want in the dog.

Eg:
Amount of shedding you can deal with
How much exersice you can give it
The size
Friendliness towards people and other animals
ect.

If you are a first time dog owner, some breeds like border collies, huskies, and even many smaller ones like terriers are a bad idea. They need experienced owners who know how to train them beyond sit and stay.

This link is great, but do some research boyond it, because it doesn't always give reliable results. Also look around that site for the Dogs 101 videos. they are GREAT and they definatly helped me make my descision. ( A whippet :3 )

also google search "Just dog breeds" or "Canada's guide to dogs" they both have fairly detailed breed profiles.
