Dogs Question

Is anyone else out there allergic to dogs? and if so, have you ever taken allergy shots in order to have a dog? and if so, did they work for you? I'm considering them. Any comments, warnings, or thoughts? Anything will help. Thanks! :)

I have a hypo-allergenic dog right now: lhasa apso who does not bother my allergies at all. But i'd like to be able to have any dog I want regardless of breed. I'd love a doberman or labrador retriever. But i'm quite allergic to them.

i am allergic to dander but my lhasa apso does not & HAS NEVER bothered me (had her for 10 years now)...so they must be hypo-allergenic. I know they are. You're wrong. Look it up.

Um, a short-haired dog would be a BAD choice because they shed more often then long haired dogs and produce more dander because of it.
