I dunno.. I can't imagine any of them as the next Doctor. But then again, I hated them for replacing Christopher Eccleston with David Tennant when they did.. shows how much I know!

yeh me too I almost wanted to stop seeing the show because it wasn’t Eccleston anymore! But now I love Tennant and I can’t imagine anyone else doing... He has to regenerate sooner or latter (hoping is latter), but it will be very hard topping David!!

I love my David soooooo much that I'll be heart broken when he leaves, but if another must be chosen I think Harry would do admirably. Though Bill Nighy was totally amazing in Hitchhikers Guide. I will add I think they need to make the next Doctor ginger, he's always wanted to be ginger. <3

I don't want any of these as the next doctor!! *cries* If it was Bill Nighy i would always see him as Slatybartfast. lol We need someone young and good looking! lol :P I chose Robert Carlyle because i heard somewhere that he was the favorite. Oh well i shall just have to kill them all... jks lol :P

Well, Bill Nighy was Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean, and I didn't recognise him (mind you, he had tentacles on his face), so I daresay he could look a little younger for Doctor Who. =P

I thought it would be Nesbitt either since his work with Stephen Moffat on Jekyll.

I dunno; I could easily vote for people I wouldn't want in the role, but picking one I would want is more difficult. I certainly wouldn't want Robert Carlyle or Bill Nighy - they are far too recognizable as themselves in every role they play. I'd prefer someone relatively unknown for the part, so that they wouldn't have to fight off the audience's baggage from their other roles.

But it'll never happen, he's just done Frost/Nixon with Ron Howard and its getting Oscar buzz, so we would be very, very lucky to get him....

But my ideal, no contest choice for the role would be RHYS IFANS.... it would make sense to go for a more scruffy look after the relative cleanliness of Tennant, I think he would be excellent in the role

But you know who I would loooove? The actor who plays Robin Hood. That's a completely unintelligent choice I just think he's ridiculously hot lol. If we can't have David we at LEAST need someone hotter lol.

I would love Andrew-Lee Potts from Primeval to play the Doctor, although I think he's still looks a bit to young (even though he's 28/29!)(Plus Harry Lloyd is younger still!) I like the way he dresses in Primeval and think that that would be a good look for the doctor.

Yeah he was in season 3 The Family of Blood and Human Nature!! But Freema was also in season 2 of doctor who as Adeola Oshodi... so they can arrange something!! Or maybe not and let David as doctor forever =D

I heard this last year that Harry Lloyd was to take over but yh out of all of them i'd choose him, no one can replace David at all. i'm probably have a minor breakdown when david confirmes when hes leaving, but we still have the human doctor so david could come back for specials.

I don't know about Harry, maybe...?
