Bolt looked very sad, and he wished Penny took him along. "We can't just let her go alone! We need to go after her!"
BOLT 2
Bolt yawned and lifted up his head just in time to see Penny walking to the front door of the house, rolling a large suitcase along the tile floor. Bolt new this meant she was going on a trip, and that he usually came with her on trips, but he never heard anyone say anything.
"Mittens, where is Penny going?" Bolt asked. Mittens opened her bright green eyes and licked her paw.
"I didn't know Penny was going anywhere. What makes you think she is?" Mittens replied.
"She has the large rolling backpack with her. But...she always seems more excited, and lets me know I am going too. Is something wrong?"
"Bolt, stop worrying. I'm sure she is just..." Just as Mittens was talking, Penny's mom started talking very quickly.
"Did you pack extra socks? And sunscreen? You're still so young and I don't want anything happening to you!"
Penny giggled. "Mom, I will be okay! I am fifteen years old! And you will be close by in a nice hotel. You can come on set everyday too!" Her mom sighed.
"Alright. It's just that you've never done a movie before, and it is so different to filming a television show."
"Mom, stop worrying. Now we better get going before we miss our flight!" Penny and her mom grabbed suitcases and a couple small bags and started walking out the door when Penny suddenly stopped. She ran over to Bolt and hugged him tightly.
Her expression looked very sad. "Bolt, I promise I will be back in a few months, okay? I wish I could take you with us....You're my good boy, and I love you." Bolt looked up at Penny with big, sad eyes. He was confused at first but then he figured it out. Penny was going to be filming a movie, far away from home, and he, Mittens, and Rhino could not come. Bolt gently licked Penny's cheek and quietly whined. "It's just for a little bit. I promise. Besides, Aunt Laura and Uncle Rick will take good care of you." She kissed Bolt's head and got up. Her and her mom walked out the door and locked it.
