Day 2 - So that happened and amazingly they remembered what happened. When Penny and her mom woke up and opened the door to the RV, Bolt and Mittens ran out in a panicky way. But Rhino just rolled happily away in his ball to meet his new friends at a pine tree where they said they would be. Everyone was awake and the other dogs and cats ran panicking to Duke, who was keeping calm and sitting on the stump. "Are we going to die?" Lila shouted breathlessly. "What's going to happen Duke?" Buddy said his face in Duke's face. "Duke are we safe with these insane spirits!?!?" shouted Bolt. "Settle down and don't panic everyone." Duke said. Buddy slowed down in front of Duke while the other pets ran around frantically. "What do you mean don't panic? We are going to get KILLED!!!!!!!!!!" Buddy said shoving his face around until he had it about a centimeter away from Duke's face. "Well then." Duke announced with a very firm tone. "Let's just keep calm; but stay alert!" This helped the others relax a little. "Breakfast!" shouted Tom, the father of a boy named Joshua who Penny met. So once again, they found their dishes with a little dog food mixed with some eggs, sausage chunks, and little bits of bacon. The kids enjoyed their breakfast and so did the pets. The hamsters got bacon with some fresh timothy hay. It was about ten o'clock now and the sun is starting to heat everything up. It was time to go to the lake. Penny and her family brought their new boat and it was big enough to hold all the families they know there including themselves and the pets. One of the families was camping with a tent so they offered to hitch the boat up to their car and drive it to the docking area. They agreed to let them help. So there they were, all of the friends heading down to the lake to take a swim and just chill out. Penny and her family brought their ice chest and rode in their hitched boat. Just a few minutes later they arrived at the docking area. Penny's mom and the other parents got out of the boat and pick-up truck and started to push the boat into the water as soon as it was realeased. Rhino's ball rolled when the boat was tipped a little. "Whoa!!!!!!" Mittens shouted when Bolt started to tumble toward her. She had no choice but to jump off the boat. So she ran to the back and plunged into the shallow area. Splash! She walked onto the asphalt road and meowed. "Oh, you owe me big time pooch!" Mittens said. "Sorry," Bolt replied. "I lost my grip and I didn't want to damage the boat with my claws." "You see why I jumped off instead of letting you roll over me on accident and make my claws dig into the carpet?" Mittens asked Bolt. "Come on Mittens." Bolt said nudging Mittens forward. Bolt jumped up into the open compartment where their towels were. "Ah Ha" Bolt said dragging a towel the color of yellow with a stitch-signature the color of brown and it printed the name; Mittens. Bolt jumped down to where Mittens was with her towel between bolt's jaws. "Oh," Mittens said as Bolt dropped the towel on her back and spread it out so it covered her rump and chest. "Thanks Bolt." "Your welcome Mittens." Bolt replied, his voice soothing and calm. Rhino was rolling side to side in his ball because he was dizzy from the tumbling in the boat. "What happened to the cat?" Rhino asked noticing Mittens' fur being a little frizzy and wet. "I jumped off the boat so I wouldn't ruin the boat by ripping the floor." Mittens answered. "Oh you poor thing," Rhino said climbing out of his plastic ball and trotting toward Mittens. " you look so nervous, but don't worry Mittens I will protect you." Mittens rolled her eyes and then layed down. Today everyone was going to stay on the boat this trip to the lake. Because of the size of Penny's boat, the whole camp group they hang out with including all of the pets got to go on it. "Oh," Penny said picking up Mittens and rubbing her with a towel. "What in the world happened sweetie?" Of course Penny didn't know what had happened. She climbed into the boat with Mittens still in her arms. "There." Penny said placing Mittens onto one of the leather seats in her boat. Bolt jumped in and said, "You feel better dry?" "Yes." Mittens answered. "Woah!" Mittens said seeing Bolt's dog life vest. "What are you wearing." "Oh, this?" Bolt asked. "Yes, that." Mittens said. "It's a life vest for dogs." Bolt said laying down on the seat. "Okay kitty." Penny's mother said slipping a cat life vest over her head and belly. "Ummm; What is this for?" Mittens asked. "It'll keep you from drowning in the water." Bolt replied. "Why in the world would I jump off and commit suicide?" Mittens yelled. "No reason." Bolt said. "We wear these just in case we fall off." The camping clan started climbing into the boat. In one of the back compartments, There was a good sized hamster cage inside. The people couldn't hold on to them the whole ride. They seemed to be having a huge party. Now everybody was on the boat and a dad who knew how to drive boats started off into the deeper parts of the lake. Lightning, Megan's dog, was talking to Bolt. "You know, I just want to be friends if that's okay with you." Lightning said. "That's just fine." Bolt replied. Lightning was a white shepherd like Bolt, but her eyes were a light purple kind of color, and her paws were light gray. She wore a magenta collar with a maroon colored bandanna. Finally, Joshua's dad pulled up at an "out of the way" area. "Okay, everybody except adults in the water." Penny's mom shouted. There was a huge splash as the kids plunged into the cool water. Then the pets did. "You know what Bolt?" Mittens asked. "The water isn't that bad." "I told you it's okay." Bolt said. There was a low sound as the small motor of the electric air pump was turned on. Today the kids were going to go tubing. After about five minutes, the good sized blue tube was filled with air. It was a rectangle shape and it held two people. Two of the adults tied the attachment rope to the tube, and then to a metal tie on the boat. Then they started tubing. Even the dogs and cats took a round. Rhino and the other hamsters were just partying away. Then, the families ate their lunch and fed the pets some special treats.

thirty minutes later

It was time to head back to camp and prepare dinner. So they ate and started a cozy campfire. Everybody relaxed as the warm convection current carried the heat from the fire. They toasted marshmallows, made smores, and just chatted all warm in their pants and sweaters. "Good night!" shouted the humans, hamsters, and the other pets.

Just as everyone went to sleep, the dog spirits showed up and only did this stuff to Bolt and Lightning. They woke up and were carried to a dark part of the forest. "Rrrf." Lightning shouted landing flat on her belly. "Oomph." Bolt said landing on his back. Suddenly, they were closed in with a light screen. The two dogs were both once movie stars! Images of them doing their stunts and everything showed up on the screen. Lightning fighting her enemies in the movies she starred in, and Bolt running with Penny to catch Calico. The dogs stared at each other with surprised looks. They knew the same crazy ideas popping into their heads. They were staring with shocked looks now. Oh boy.
