I even agree with the Frozen and Maleficent ones.
Gosh, Disney had a shot with the Revival Era and they blew it....
I also really dislike the idea of the classics being seen as bad role models. The older I get, the more I love the classics and appreciate how they stayed strong, kind, and hopeful despite the terrible situations they found themselves in. They are inspirational and relatable.
Also, I hope we get a villain again in movies as Mother Gothel was the last true villain to me. The newer "villains" don't really compare to the older ones who loved being evil. It made the movies more fun and interesting.
Disagree about villains. Maybe surprise villain is overdone but it's not a bad trope per se. I believe Hans is scary and villainous.
Cinderella and Snow have been in many situations that many people would not stand and even become bitter or mean.
