I take this with a grain of salt, he didn't grab her or follow her into the castle, but I think some serious discourse needs to be opened up on the actions of the Disney Princes because a lot of them are seriously creepy, murderous, abusive, etc but they get a pass because they're men in Disney films.

^ i agree, but you are evaluating them from today's perspective. This is what was considered romantic, flirtatious and even proper for men to chase women.

^and so what if I am? Also, that's not necessarily true. Just because it was what was expected doesn't mean that all women enjoyed it.

Creepy at first. But then, maybe, after he started singing "his explanation for being there" he was less creepy.

I just don't find it really creepy. At least for the romantic fairytales.

I don't think it's that bad, all he did was start singing along with her. And think about Snow White's lyrics: "I'm wishing for the one I love to find me today". It was too good an opportunity for him to miss showing off his singing skills.

I suppose he could have started singing along while he was sitting on the wall rather than waiting until he was standing right beside her to save giving her a fright, but he never meant to frighten her.

I'm sick of Revival stans always trashing the classics. Ariel was dumb, beast was abusive, the prince was creepy. It's just a fairy tale.
