LightningRed picked Mulan and Shang:
Overlooking the sequel, I think Mulan and Shang has just attraction instead of love.

They have a very true friendship, but not really a true "love"

dimitri_is_hot picked Snow White and Prince:
I don't think Mulan and Shang's love is less true, it's just more realistic. Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and Pocahontas are fast and love at first sight. Which wouldn't be considered love in real life. Just my opinion.

^ No your right they spent 3 days getting to know each other, which is more then most of the princesses can say.

Mulan and Shang definitely have true love to me,I dob't see how your brains are working...but...Pocahontas and John Smith. Hmm. They kissed dramatically on their 3rd or 4th day. Their love is very doubtful in my opinion.

SailorM91 picked Snow White and Prince:
They barely knew each other and never even had a conversation before going off together. At least Cinderella & Aurora spent some time with their princes before marrying them.

maryksand picked Tiana and Naveen:
Mulan an Shang developed a mutual trust and loyalty, worked together greatly as a team an got to actually work through their issues and differences in the sequel. Just because their relationship is more realistic and flawed than most Disney couples doesn't mean their love is untrue.

Don't get the "never talked" argument about Eric/Ariel, first of all, they were another representation of love at first sight troupe that most fairy tales and Disney movies tend to stick to and which was started with Snow White and Cinderella that unlike Eric and Ariel never even happened to actually get to know their princes or learn something about their personalities before they fell in love as opposed to Ariel who saw Eric being an adventurous, brave and noble person.

Pocahontas/Smith and Tiana/Naveen on the other hand were downright horrible for each other. Smith nearly bashed her brains out during their first meeting as he intended to do to any native american he meets if they don't happen to be as hot as Pocahontas, their relationship got no development or basis or even potential to begin with but I can at least see them being another, although a pretty failure, representation of love at first sight concept that DP movies are known for. Tiana and Naveen on the other hand showed absolutely no indication of mutual attraction or even mutual respect up untill the point when they supposedly fell in love after hours of mutual insults and after Naveen repeatedly and frequently mocking Tiana's working class having a general tendency to humiliate less privileged people for their social status or even their appearence (which is a pretty disturbing thing for a heroine that is marketed as strong and independent to end up with this kind of person not to mention their first kiss happening because she wanted to get his money, which is in no way romantic).

Jessikaroo picked Ariel and Eric:
I think all of them had true love, but Eriel's love is the most "lustful" out of them to me. But they still have a pretty solid love. *shrug* I also disagree about Phillora and SnowPrince being the untruest. I think there's more to it, especially SnowPrince, that we just didn't see on screen. Phillora has their dreams (It's Disney. Deal with it) And I'm pretty sure that there's a lot more to Snow Prince than what we saw. Remember, the only reason the Prince didn't have a huge part in the movie like planned was because they couldn't convincingly animate him.

The Beast had to fall in love with Belle or he'd be doomed to be a beast forever. That sounds more than a little forced to me.

i find it pretty ridiculous how most of you say that Snow and prince's romance is too unreal, but then you love Aurora and Philip for the exact same shit -___-

Belle was overly quick to betray him to Gaston's mob. That's one of the major things that sinks their relationship for me.
