Cinderella Rant

The Leader

A rant on Cinderella, star of the Disney Princess franchise.

Obviously, as many would know, Cinderella is easily the most popular princess on a global scale. But why? Here are some reasons. Her story is one of, it not the most well known fairytale of all time. Though she is beautiful, her features are rather typical. This means she can be used to represent all the princesses. Her movie was a massive hit that started a cycle of successful films(Alice In Wonderland, Peter Pan). Not to mention, her iconic dress and glass slipper. And finally, her movie is the favorite of Walt Disney himself....

The real story of Cinderella's Dress

In the Disney Franchise, Cinderella's ballgown is blue, but that was not always true (hey that rhymes).
In the 1950 film, when Cinderella got transformed into her gown, it was white. When she looked at her reflection in the fountain, it was blue. When they needed products for this movie, some people thought the white gown looked too much like a wedding dress, so they watched the whole movie over and over again until they came up with something. They saw Cindy's reflection in the fountain, and thought that was a good color, thus, Cinderella's dress is now considered blue.

I'll just get right to the point.

The Flag:
The flag shown on the ship was not used until at least 100 years after the time the film is set.

.____. I knew something was fishy about that flag....

Poca's hair:
ahh, her hair... Lovely isn't it? How it luciously blows in the wind.... But... Isn't it strange how WELL it blows? I mean... My hair is now almost that legnth, and even when the wind is high, it never gets so much as past my back...
So either that is some pretty WICKED wind, or she has some LIGHT hair... Maybe both.

But, if the wind WERE that crazy, then why doesn't it blow the crap...

The hill was so wonderful that Rose Red felt sad over leaving them, but she was ready to see the castle.

Interview with the characters from Disney's Pocahontas

My next Interview is with the Characters from Disney’s Pocahontas. Pocahontas requested the interview be held at Grandmother Willows tree (something about her being able to make everyone understand each other) and I consented, as long as the critters leave us alone. Kocoums spirit is also going to join us for a moment, but John Rolfe is busy in London and could not come. Radcliffe was also banned from this interview. John Smith is coming with his friend Thomas and Pocahontas is bringing Nakoma. I am hoping for another calm interview, but we shall see.

MagicPrincess: Favorite Kiss <3

Their kiss, for me, was a bit dull, boring and quick. It lacked emotion and passion but it is still a classic kiss.

9. Cinderella and Prince Charming
The end kiss was CLASSIC but it was boring and lacked emotion but it was still a beautiful ending to a beautiful story!

8. Sorry if I'm bashing out at the classic princesses! Aurora's kiss had a drop of intensity in it and I love how she brightens up after the kiss! It is truly a CLASSIC kiss!

Snow White is pretty. Although she is referred as a young woman with skin as white as the snow, lips as red as a rose and hair as dark as a raven I don’t find her that beautiful. I don’t like her hair, the shape of her face and her nose.

Rapunzel has beautiful hair, I love both her long- blonde and short- brown hair. She has lovely eyes- color but her eyes are too big. Hey everybody, so I was watching Pocahontas this morning and I thought it was amazing as usual, but everytime I see it I can´t help myself from thinking about the sequel (which I know some people say is more historicaly accurate, but who cares about that? I mean, it's Diney). No disrespect for those who do like the sequel. I'm not saying it's altogether bad, but the whole thing just seems a bit unnatural and rushed to me, considering the events of the first film. OK, hi everyone! *waves* I'm sort of a lurker here. This is my first article in this spot. I haven't watched Tangled or the Princess and the Frog (because both movies came out when I was studying for my exams. Damn!), so I won't include Tiana or Rapunzel in this list. I probably will incorporate them in a later list, once I've watched both movies.
