LupinPrincess They never pulled anything, the design was never on the princess site to begin with, that's a false rumor...and the newest merida merchandise has her in her 2d design, so disney is still doing it :)

LupinPrincess Because I watched the princess site everyday, I watch for merida stuff like crazy, the ACTUAL places that those merida pictures came from are...the target site, other international disney sites (remember the german princess site with her in 2d? their still there) and the coronation invitation.....she was never posted on the American site in a 2d version to begin with! I was watching it long before the petition and would have posted pictures of it....disney never released a statement saying that the 2d version is gone either, and if you check the disney store, all new merida merchandise has her in 2d!

mhs1025 ^ They said that look would have limited use. I believe I read that on Wikipedia as well. And last time I was at MY local Disney store, I saw nothing with her 2D image on it. And don't you dare say I didn't look hard enough!

Swanpride The 2D Image was, for the very beginning, for the merch, to make sure that she doesn't stick out in the new design. You'll find her on merch which uses it. The picture above is NOT new, it has been around some time, even before the other one was shown. And no, it was never on the official website to begin with. Disney even released an official statement that they didn't cave because of the petition.
