N/A: I was also inspired by DreamyGal's and hisblueeyes' article. And sorry that this is so long :)
My sister accused me of not loving the Disney Princesses. She got mad as hell when I told her that I don't like Snow White as much- she threw a FIT. I tried to reassure her saying that I don't hate her, I just like the other princesses more than her. My sister says she's a bigger Disney fan but she's not on Fanpop and she gets annoyed when I play Disney movies in the living room. So I gave her a list of things I like about the DPs so she would shut the hell up:

Snow White:

When Disney decided to give traditional animation another shot, it was somewhat logical that they would try to start this “new era” with a Disney Princess movie. After all, each glorious era started with one. “Snow White”, “Cinderella” and “The Little Mermaid” were small masterpieces. But the “Princess and the Frog” proved to be problematic from the very beginning.

But with the exception of "Snow White" and "Dumbo" (which originally wasn’t planned as a movie at all), none of them were financial successes. That can partly be blamed on the influence of WWII, partly on the fact that the production costs for each of them was very high ("Dumbo" had the lowest budget by a considerable amount). When the USA entered the war, the government ordered Disney to make first and foremost propaganda shorts. To...

July's fan of the month is...firegirl1515! Congratulations! So now I'll be asking her a few questions about the Disney Princesses!

Questions:

1. Who is your favorite princess and why?

Ariel has really always been my favorite. When I was younger it was for more superficial things, like how pretty she was and how great her voice and hair were. Plus, I was absolutely IN LOVE with The Little Mermaid 2 as a kid, and she’s sort of a MERMAID. But now there are thousands of reasons besides those three for me to love her. Her endless bubbly personality is one- she’s just so fun and wild! I also admire...
