I know everyone and their grandma has written one of these, but I have yet to write my official list until now, and I swore I was never gonna do one of these. For some reason, I just couldn't sit down and nit-pick about who I liked the most or who I like the least. But now I've finally broken down and forced myself to sit down and sort this crap out (Even thought I have much better things that I should be doing right now...) BUT ANYWAYS, the order of this list has been bouncing around in my head for months and I've been over-analyzing every frickin' princess. So, if you haven't gotten sick of reading these yet, here's my list.

10. The Outcast Bookworm
"And for once it might be grand To have someone understand I want so much more than they've got planned"
"And for once it might be grand To have someone understand I want so much more than they've got planned"

Well, I've just never really liked Belle, she bores me to tears. Everyone in her movie consistently states how beautiful and odd she is, yet I really don't find her odd at at. I guess reading books makes you odd in her day. Her looks to me are also rather plain, if they had made her a little more unique then maybe I would believe the whole "Beautiful but funny girl" thing. She is overall a nice and understanding character, but there's nothing more special than that. Belle just doesn't stand out for me, and I've just never really liked her or her movie. Whenever I'm watching BATB, I'm more interested in Cogsworth and Lumiere's bickering than Belle herself.

9. The Curious Mermaid
"What's a fire and why does it - what's the word? Buuuuuurrnnnnnnnn?"
"What's a fire and why does it - what's the word? Buuuuuurrnnnnnnnn?"

I'm just gonna come out and say it even though I know I'm gonna get shot for it, I think Ariel's a brat. Tough shit but I really do think she is one. She pouts and cries and argues with everything her father says. Ariel NEVER listens to Triton's side of things. Then again, he never listens to her side either, so basically they have communication issues.... Anyways, Ariel has that whole "Daddy won't listen to me so I'm gonna do what ever the hell I want" attitude which I find really unappealing. I'm also not too big on the fact that she falls in love with Eric after seeing him once, then ditches her whole family to be with him. This chick also NEVER thinks about her decisions, "Oh I'm gonna follow these big creepy eels into a dark scary cavern and make a deal with a sketchy sea witch, WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?" Sorry Ariel, but family and thinking comes first in my books. She's got a stealer voice though, if that counts for anything.....

8. The First Princess
"I'm wishing (I'm wishing) For the one I love To find me (to find me) Today (today)"
"I'm wishing (I'm wishing) For the one I love To find me (to find me) Today (today)"

Oh isn't nice to see Snow White higher than last place in a list? Well I love the fact that Snowy is eternally optimistic. Nothing can get this chick down, not being lost in the woods, your step-mother sending a hunter to kill you, loosing your true love, nothing. With all these things she took it with a smile and kept on truckin'. She always had faith that everything will get better. Snow White also didn't cry or think that it was the end of the world when she was separated from her Prince, she just remained hopeful and wished that one day they would meet again. Despite all these nice and sugary-cute things, Snowy is low for two reasons, one, She reminds me of Betty Boop, voice and looks, not that there's anything wrong with Betty or Snow, just that voice makes you want to punch a baby after a while. The second thing is is that I watch her movie for like 20 minutes, then get bored, wander off, and start cleaning my room or something. She just doesn't keep me interested.

7.The One Who Feel Asleep
I wonder, I wonder I wonder why each Little bird has someone To sing to sweet things to"
I wonder, I wonder I wonder why each Little bird has someone To sing to sweet things to"

Okay, she's not that boring is she? Recently everyone's woken up from the Aurora spell and have realized that this chick really doesn't have that much to offer. Well, it is true that she's a tad boring and lacks a "personality", but the reason she's higher than the other two is that I can sit through her movie without wanting to yell at her or wanting to fall asleep (Which is odd seeing as all she does is sleep in her movie). She's humble and kind, and her singing voice makes me want to take opera lessons and sing ridiculously high notes. Maybe I'm just in love with her voice like Philip, but I really just like her, her graceful dancing, the fact that she's pretty much a fucking ballerina without even trying, her simple sweetness, everything.

6. The Passionate Native
"You can own the Earth and still All you'll own is Earth until You can paint with all the colors of the wind"
"You can own the Earth and still All you'll own is Earth until You can paint with all the colors of the wind"

Pocahontas, such a wise and clever soul, fun-loving (for the most part), adventurous and brave, this girl's got a power-house voice and she really makes you think. The reason she's my number 6 though, is because she's just kind of "meh" for me, I don't really like her or dislike her. Plus she sort of looses her fun-ness when she meets John. Poca's just in the middle for me, not spectacular but not horrid either....

5. The Opinionated Princess
"But when I'm way up here It's crystal clear That now I'm in a whole new world with you "
"But when I'm way up here It's crystal clear That now I'm in a whole new world with you "

Ahh Jasmine, smart, quick, super fun and witty. This girls got spunk. She isn't afraid to say whats on her mind and she's not gonna let just any man come and sweep her off her feet. Jasmine is a princess by blood but that sure as hell doesn't mean she's going to act like one. Plus she's got a fucking tiger for a pet, A TIGER. Do you know how cool that is? (Maybe it's just me because I always wanted a big cat for a pet, like a puma or something) Anyways, I've loved the movie Aladdin since I was little, she's always been one of my most favourite princesses, but these other girls coming up have just wormed their way into my heart. Plus these other chicks have done A LOT more than she has.

4. The Cross-Dressing Hero
"Why is my reflection someone I dont know some how I can not find who I am, though I've tried"
"Why is my reflection someone I dont know some how I can not find who I am, though I've tried"

She's such a dork. I love her and her duo personalities. She can be lady-like and a dude all at the same time. Mulan is goofy, courageous and all around awesome. Her movie always just lifts my spirits and makes me laugh my ass off. She's definitely relatible , as everyone has previously said about her, she loves her family and she'll stop at nothing to protect them. Mulan is a huge flaming symbol that shouts that girls are awesome, and that we can do anything if we set our minds to it.

3. The One Who Was Stuck In A Tower
"Just smell the grass! The dirt! Just like I dreamed they'd be! Just feel that summer breeze - the way it's calling me For like the first time ever, I'm completely free!"
"Just smell the grass! The dirt! Just like I dreamed they'd be! Just feel that summer breeze - the way it's calling me For like the first time ever, I'm completely free!"

RAPUNZELLLLLLLLLLL, LET DOWN YOUR HAIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRR.
Fuck. I love this girl. Rapunzel's adventurous, determined, brave, quirky and is extremely understanding and sees the good in everyone. She's an artist, which is one of the key things that I really love about her, seeing as I'm like addicted to drawing and art (Although I'll probably never be as good as her) The one main thing that I adore about Rapunzel is that she knows what she wants. It's a small thing, but it means the world to her. She knows what direction to go in and she's not afraid to get it. I look up to her because of this. I have no idea what I want in life and I'm scared to pursue the thing I do want. I'm very doubtful about things. Rapunzel's the complete opposite of me, and that's why I love her so much.

2. The Dreamy Servant
"No matter how your heart is grieving If you keep on believing the dream that you wish will come true"
"No matter how your heart is grieving If you keep on believing the dream that you wish will come true"

Now, it may seem a little odd that Cindy is so high on my list, but Walt sums it up pretty nicely "She believed in dreams, all right, but she also believed in doing something about them. When Prince Charming didn't come along, she went over to the palace and got him." She really does do everything she can to get what she wants. Cinderella has been one of my absolute favourite princesses for as long as I remember. I never really had a favourite princess per se when I was young, but I sure as hell remember watching Cinderella over and over again. To me she just screams what Disney is, she's a dreamer, she's graceful, kind, and attempts to see the good in everyone. To this very day I still sing all of her songs at the top of my lungs. Cindy's my childhood all wrapped up into one person.

1. The Hard-Working Frog
"Well I've climbed a mountian I've crossed a river and I'm almost there"
"Well I've climbed a mountian I've crossed a river and I'm almost there"

This is probably a first, Tiana at the top of a list, well Tiana is my absolute favourite princess. Many others have downcast her to the very bottoms of their lists, saying that she's too uptight and that she's too realistic. For me, those are the reasons why I love her. She's not going to wait around for some prince to show up and fix all her problems, Tiana's gonna do it on her own. She's a go-getter, she's smart, sassy, and forever hopeful. I actually love how realistic she is. She's so devoted and caring, she tries so hard. A lot of people just don't like Tiana, but to me, she's one of the best princesses Disney has ever made.

Most people would agree that each of the Disney Princesses are individually unique. While most people take their stories and personalities into consideration, few tend to recognize that they each have an individual artistic style. Even though over the years their lineup has homogenized to create what we might consider Classic Disney, the design of nearly each princess was in fact inspired with a specific artist or art style in mind. I believe this is the je-ne-sais-quoi people have a hard time attributing...

In honor of Valentines Day coming up I'm making a list of my top 14 favorite love songs from animated movies. Starting with my least favorite, number 14, each day I will add a love song I like and on Valentines Day I will reveal my number one favorite love song from an animated movie and this article will be complete :)

14. One Song - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

I really like this song because it's so romantic but it's kinda dull compared to my other favorite in my opinion...But I'm totally in love with the lyrics like
'One heart
Tenderly beating
Ever entreating
Constant and true'

20. Part of Your World (Reprise)
This song is quick, simple, but very sweet. It shows you don't need to have a lot of metaphors and poetic devices to convey what you want. Ariel expresses her desire to become human so clearly and plainly in this song, just by the emotion and longing she conveys, and by just putting it into simple sentences.
