Comparing Disney girls to other films: Cinderella

Hey everyone! This is my second article and part two of comparing our Disney girls!

hmm... where should I start...?
Well, it's rumoured that Cinderella was actually made after a native american legend called "Rough face girl"
except the legend goes that there was a young girl with two selfish sisters, who got all the nice beads, moccasins, and dresses. While all she got was hand-me-downs. And she didn't have cinder on her face, she actually had ASHES/burns. So she met a guy who fell in love with her and told her to wash her face in a special lake, which made her face beautiful. They lived happily ever after. sweet huh?

Our next comparision is "EVER AFTER" starring Drew Barrymore! This is a little bit similar to the Disney Cinderella, but there's no magic. And Cinderella's name isn't really Cinderella. It's Daniel. (I dunno where they got that from.) Also, the prince has an Actual NAME! his name is Henry, hmm... suits him. you know my movie rule. XP

The next movie is "ANOTHER CINDERELLA STORY" Starring Drew Steeley and Selena Gomez. I found it a little boring, (If you watched it, you may or may not agree with me)Instead of loosing a slipper, she looses her i-pod. And... I forget what happens next. XD

Our last comparision of the article is "CINDERELLA STORY" starring Hilary Duff, and Channing Tatum. In this story, the girls' (I forgot her name.) dad dies, and she's stuck with her stepmother and stepsisters. I found this one a little boring also, I'm not too fond of Hilary Duff. (You think I would be, she's my neighbor.-really-)

So, basically the difference between these and Cinderella is that there's no bibbity-bobbity-boo. And the similarities are pretty obvious. Overall, I find the Disney Cinderella and EVER AFTER the most appealing.

firegirl1515 Hmm, that's never how I heard the story of the Rough Faced Girl. The one I heard is more mystical, although she's still got the two sisters and the cinder marks come off in the end. Still, another great article! Oh, and as for the rest of what happens in Another Cinderella Story, I think (I've never watched it, I'm going off previews) that the "prince" is able to find her through the way she danced since they're both dancers and they recognize that sort of stuff.

LisaForde Ahw thanks for adding me to your list you are such a sweetie. Anyway Channing Tatum isn’t in A Cinderella Story its Chad Michael Murray who is in it alongside Hilary Duff. I saw Another Cinderella Story a few months back on the internet and it was so dumb I mean she loses a friggin Ipod and your man Joey tries to find every girl who owns an ipod and asks them what is on their play list. I felt like watching Step Up. You forgot Brandy’s Cinderella, the jetlag’s version and of course Maid in Manhattan which was also a Cinderella type movie. Great article btw.

I'm here to write about the herones that should be princesses!
To start with Jane she could be called a princess because Tarzan is technicly prince of the jungle so since jane and tarzan are married that makes Jane kinda a princess.

Next is Gissle from Enchanted.Everyone knows she's a princess but then at the end of the movie she's not really a princess anymore but she is still a princess like judi Benson who plays Ariel Once a princess always a princess.

Why I dislike The 3 Good Fairies

Ok, starting off I don't think Maleficent is in the wrong here I mean if you know anything about her back story you would know that King Stephen and the queen have been terrible to her. Then they don't even invite her to the baby's party. Heck! I would have cursed the child too. Now keeping subject on the Fairies when I was little I didn't really like the fairies they just seemed dumb, and as a 7 year old child I could think of better ways to help out Aurora. MaryWeather the blue fairy says only a true love can break the spell. But if you fast forward a bit she keeps Aurora AWAY from people....

A lot of people call the classics Mary-Sues and I strongly disagree, and I have much evidence to prove that they are far from perfect. But hey, their opinion, I'll respect that. Here we go...

Here is why they are underrated

1)Feminine
2)Mary-Sues
3)Need a Prince for rescue

They are feminine, yes, but that is not bad in any way. They are Mary-Sues? No way. They need a prince for rescue, they are capable of many things by themselves.

Soundcheck: Move the movie along songs/scores

If you look at this list, you might notice that most of those songs and scores are set to montages. They are played when either a longer timespan passes by, or when the movie tries to convey some sort of development or message. This time around, Aladdin and Cinderella are not included, there was no song or score which fit the criteria.

Having done a favourite DP and favourite DP movie list, I could not resist doing a prettiest DP list. This was the hardest list of all, mainly because all the Princesses are really beautiful. But I finally figured it out, and finished the article. Please remember that this is my opinion, so it is absolutely okay to have different opinions, but please don't be rude about my choices.
