Kudos to dweeb for her amazing designs. It's Elena's fancy and casual dress!
Elena is the youngest of 3 sisters in a family of princesses. She is an extremely gifted painter, but is also very tomboyish and curious. She often sneaks out and explores the kingdom. Most of the time with her best friend Andre, one of the servent's kids.

It just so happens that one day, while waiting for Andre, she comes across a witch. The witch gives her a wish.(It's close to her 15 birthday(Quiecenieda), not to mention Day of the dead.) She wants to find her one true love. The witch stops her, and tells her she'll get it soon enough. She also tells her to beware the hearts of others. Some are cold, while others beat with anticipation. The witch leaves once Andre shows up.

Afterwhich, she and Andre go around the village, playing pranks on people. Elena has her animal friends with her. Lucky, the wise but worry-wort lynx and Garcia, the love-doctor lizard who thinks music can solve anything. While there, Elena can't help but notice one of the explorers who came over on the ship from the new world, Alexander. Andre notices this, and seems annoyed by it. Nevertheless, the two get the stuff for the prank and head back to the castle.

The next scene shows Elena's sisters, Marisol and Carmen running from thier rooms. The two had put dozens of chickens in thier rooms. Elena's sisters are older and often make fun of thier sister. So she gets revenge. The two run from thier room, covered in feathers. The two are cracking up on the ground, but Elena's father, the king, comes up behind them. Dun, dun, dun.
The king and queen speak to thier daughter. Eventually, she and her father get into a fight, and he ends up asking why she isn't normal like her sisters. At this, Elena runs to her room, crying. Lucky and Garcia try to comfort her.

Later on, Elena goes down to the spare room she uses as an art studio. Beautiful scenes are painted all over the walls. Elena is on the floor, making day of the dead mask. Andre comes in, stopping to admire her paintings. He points out his favorite is a picture of girl on the wall, holding a magic book. Elena explains she saw it in a dream. The conversation changes, and Andre ends up asking her what she wants for her birthday. Again, she mentions she wants Alexander.
The day of her Quiecenieda, the king and queen invite everybody. Including the explorers, seeing as how they want to become allies with the kingdom. Alexander is there. Later on, Alexander and Elena finally get a chance to talk. He hears she is a good painter, so he ask her to show him her studio. Once inside, Alexander points out the painting of the book. He explains it reminds him of an old legend about the Book of spirits. A book that could bring the dead back to life. He shrugs it off and the two go back to the party, although Elena is still unsure. It's back at the party, the two end up kissing. Andre ends up walking in on the two of them. In the awkward moment, Alexander says he'll see her later. Elena gets mad at Andre, but he ends up flaring with her. He says she'll never undrestand a thing about love and that Alexander will never love her. He runs off.

It's a few days later, Elena is walking back from the village when she comes across a wounded lion near the woods. The lion has his arm caught in a trap. She's afraid to approach, but ends up helping the lion by freeing him. Once she gets home she is about to tell her family about what happened, but they have bigger news. Andre has run away. Again, Elena retires to her room, to shocked to cry. Andre left a note, and she keeps reading it over and over. Suddenly, the witch appears in her room, asking her how her wish is turning out. She says she wants to use her second wish to find out where Andre is. The witch says he is closer than she thought and holds out her crystal ball.

Inside her crystal ball, she sees the lion she rescued earlier that day. She realized it is was Andre. She wants to know where he is and how he turned into a lion, but the witch has disappeared before she has a chance to ask.

It's day of the dead. The royal family goes to the graveyard to decorate the headstones and celebrate thier ancestory. It's already nightfall. Elena is still upset about Andre, but her mother takes her and her sisters to one certain headstone. Thier grandmother. She explains that thier grandmother, Dolores, had a thing for magic and healing, but she was always playing tricks on people. Marisol, Carmen, and Elena gather flowers and pay thier respects. But Elena sees the lion in the distance and chases after him. The lion disappears into a crowd of people wearing day of the dead mask. As Elena walks through the crowd, she begins swirling, unable to find a way out. The people around her have almost evil-like laughs as she searches. Elena is afraid. She thinks they are evil spirits rising for day of the dead. Finally, she stumbles and falls into the mud, the people disappearing down the street. Elena breaks down and cries. She cries because she is afraid and she misses Andre. When she looks up, Alexander is there.

He ask if she's okay and carries her back to her house, because her ankle is swollen. As she watches, Alexander heals her leg, explaining that he can do magic. She explains that Andre is the lion. Alexander explains that Andre is in the spirit world, and the only way to save him is to get the Book of spirits. He starts to explain what the book of spirits looks like. And as Elena thinks, it matches the exact discription of her book painting, the book she saw in her dream. The two go to the studio where Alexander uses his magic to pull the book out of the wall. The two go to the edge of a drop-off. Elena is suspicious, because Andre is nowhere to be seen.
When she confronts Alexander, he finally shows his true colors. He was never planning to save Andre. He never even liked Elena. He was just using her to get the book, and then planned to raise spirits to takeover the town. Elena is shocked, and tries to attack Alexander. He uses his magic to throw her back. She falls back and can only watch as a dark grey cloud rises in the distance.

Just when she thinks hope is lost, the lion pops out and takes Alexander by suprise. While the two are fighting Elena manages to grab the book. She hears the witch at the edge of the forest, yelling for her to use the book. Unsure what else to do, Elena begins to recite the ancient words. While the two are fighting, Alexander manages to take down Andre and knocks him onto the ground. He lays there without moving. Alexander turns and sees Elena with the magic book, before he can do anything Elena is finished. A swirl of magic closes around him, pulling him into the book forever.

Elena runs to Andre's side. The witch comes up. Elena mourns over the lion's body. She tells the witch that she finally found her one true love, but it's to late. Elena hands the book to the witch, explaining that she trust her with it. Elena needs to check on her family back at the graveyard. Before doing so, she regrets that she never learned the witch's name. She replies it was Dolores. As she leaves, the witch starts to recite a spell out of the book. There's a golden light, and as Elena turns, Andre is standing there in his human form. She runs to him and catches him as he's about to collapse. Andre explains he asked the witch for a heart of a girl and she granted it. But at a cost, he would have to turn into a lion every night. Elena asked who the girl was. He replies it was her. Then he just suprises her and attacks her with a kiss. She doesn't resist.

The two end up back at the graveyard. Her mother grabs her into a hug. Elena begins to explain what happened. How Alexander betrayed her and how she and Dolores saved Andre. Once she says the witch's name they stop. Apparently, Dolores was her grandmother who had been dead for ten years. Elena was able to use that book because she inherited the powers from her. Elena's father says he could have never asked for a more amazing daughter. They all head back to town where a celebration is going on. Her sisters let her borrow thier best red dress and she and Andre end up dancing together.
The End!

If you've never seen it, "Frozen - A Musical Feat. Disney Princesses" is a Youtube video by Youtube user AVbyte. To form an opinion on it, you should watch it at this link: link

I already posted a not-so-popular forum post about it, which I quote here: "Has anyone seen the video "Elsa- I Don't Need a Man"? In this video, Elsa sings to the classic-er princesses (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, and Jasmine) It infuriates me for two reasons.

1. She shames the other princesses for falling in love/wanting to fall in love. For one, not all of them were lovesick ninnies- Belle and Jasmine...

In lines with the amazing articles written by link, link & link, I wanted to make my own article about favorite things from DP films. Narrowing it all down was really hard for me so I decided to combine things into groupings so I could give overall things from the DP films. I hope you guys enjoy!

10. Animal Friends/Sidekicks:
I always thought that the DPs having animal friends was the cutest idea. I like the "unrealistic" elements of fairy tales because they're not supposed to be real, that's why they are "fairy tales". I always liked the idea of animal friends helping cook, clean, sew, etc....

Welcome to me ranking Fanpop's most heroic Disney Princesses in my opinion!

I also want to say, this is the first time in a while that I have written a DP article since I have taken a break from fanpop and I have been so busy. I have been on this site for two years and I am so happy to be back on here writing a new DP article!

When ranking them by how heroic they are, it was hard, because not all of them saved their country or prevented a war, but there are different forms of heroism. Even helping other people with their emotions or problems can be heroism. Working hard to achieve your goals...

At long last, here is the interview with our February 2015 Fan of the Month, wavesurf!

1. How does it feel to be Fan of the Month?

It was unexpected, actually. I was pretty surprised. I'm not on here as often as some people, and I don't make as much of a contribution as some other really, really active members...so it was a surprise for me. But a good surprise. I thank you all!!!! :D

2. Your favorite Princess? Why?

One of my favorites is Ariel, from when I was a kid. I still relate to her, and she only ever got bumped down one spot. The reason for that was a change in 1998, after I saw Mulan. Mulan...
