The three classic princesses
The three classic princesses
Okay, I am writing an article after a long time. I suffered from the lack of ideas and imagination for more than 12 days ago. So, I am not in a mood to start a new series, either, Damn! So, I decided to do one short article, duh! Sorry, I am gonna do a series! I mean, duh, some princesses were horribly out of place. I mean, we think every princess is beautiful, but some are a little historically inaccurate and drawn in a wrong way.

Snow White
Snow White
Snow White

It is kinda easy to figure out where this classic took place. The dwarfs’ house is decorated with carved wooden instruments and furniture. If you closely look at the mountains and the forest, I think it is in the black forest, which is in Germany. The dwarfs mostly yodel throughout the movie, and yodelling was first recorded in 1545, so we know the story took place after that. So, these clues suggest that Snow White’s story took place in the late 1500s in Germany. During this time of protestant reformation, Women wore dark colored fabrics that emphasized the waist and had a high neckline, with their hair usually pulled back...some women even wore a headpiece. And in this picture, Snow White looks absolutely beautiful. Her hair is beautifully pulled back and I wanna wear that stunning headpiece she has. Except the emphasis on the waist and puffy sleeves, the outfit doesn’t look accurate in the movie and her hair is too short to be pulled back.

Cinderella
Cinderella
Cinderella

Cinderella is loved all over the world and people adore her castle, but it rather seems to be placed in its own fantasy land with less accuracy. So, a lot of people think it took place in the 1860’s. So, this drawing looks much more accurate than that beautiful, lovely silver ball gown we all die for. In that time period, the cages of women’s dresses took more of an elliptical shape and generally moved towards the back. Sorry or not sorry, I love this dress more than the ball gown! I don’t care if lacks those sparkles and all than damn glitter, it looks even better. Wow, this surprised me! But there are many versions of the story, and one of the most popular versions was originally written in French by Charles Perrault. So if you wanna make Cindy look a different way, you can add more French nods. There are many versions of Cinderella’s story, such as the Egyptian Cinderella and Korean Cinderella, created at different times and countries.

Aurora
Aurora
Aurora

There are a few clues with let us know the time and place for this tale. Before Aurora learnt that she was a princess, she was raised up as a peasant girl named Briar Rose. Actually, Briar Rose is flower which popular in England through generations, so we can believe this movie was actually supposed to take place in England. Do you remember, at one point Phillip tells King Hubert that he’s living in the past and this is the 14th Century. And so the story took place in 14th century in England. Noble women in that era wore dresses with tight fitting sleeves and bodices. Surcotes were put on top of the tight fitting dresses. A Surcote is a loose dress which is almost like a robe. These were also worn open and some had a long train on them. At the time, many women wore brooches and wore their hair in braids. At times they’d also put on a headpiece, veil or crown to show their royal status. And Clair Hummel drew it really well!

So, bluh, Part 1 is over now!

Up next : Renaissance Era
The 1950 version.
The 1950 version.
Hi guys, since I had make a poll version of it under my old username as dee389. Here is my general opinion on the stunning and beautiful wedding gown!

1950 Version

This was nothing special about this wedding gown, it looks like a typical wedding gown that we see on your or your relative's wedding day.

2007 Version

Since this version is a mid-quel, I thought that this is even better than the original 1950 version. It has more details, especially the sleeve!

2015 Version

By far, this is definitely the most spectacular wedding gown that I had ever seen! When I first saw in the cinema last year, I was blown away and I have to say that it's even better than the previous two. It has more details and the veil.

A Wedding Moment

So, if you're planning on getting married, which of these 3 wedding dresses do you pick?

Hey everybody! This is the third article in my series of countdowns, and I really enjoyed this one. I like every single outfit in this countdown, so it was a lot of fun for me.

5. Mulan's green, black, and brown armor

I was so sad that this was the first outfit to be eliminated. I think Mulan looks so badass in it! However, I can see why users didn't like it since it is an outfit that was made to be functional, not fashionable.

this is not supposed to flatter Mulan, but still a very boring dress if were to wear separately. ~anukriti2409
Well it's a man's armor so...it...

Here's how fans have chosen the favorite wedding dress among Disney princesses.

9. Mulan's Official Wedding Dress (with Prince Jeeki):
In initial round, it was tied with Jasmine's and her wedding dress with Shang. It was surprising to note that while it was a tie, there were hardly any comments for Jasmine's dress.
Finally the tiebreaker results determined the first elimination with Mulan's official wedding dress. Most fans were put off with its unusually big headgear.

SarahCorine: It's definitely cute. I like the colors. But she looks cuter in her other wedding dress. And the hat does...

Okay so I really want to do this, but I really am not going to explain why. Because, well, I believe there is more to liking a princess than just looks. But other than that, I just feel like I'm just going to keep saying "oh she's so pretty" or "I just never found her attractive" over and over again in different words. So, I'm sorry for not leaving a description.

I probably should've put this article on the Fanpop fan club, but this club has been my home for years. It's where I've made a lot of memories, have been part of a community that talks about more than just Disney Princesses, has felt like a family, and has helped me A LOT through the years. So this article being published anywhere else on Fanpop won't do any justice if it's not on this club. So without further delay, here is what being on Fanpop has meant to me.

First of all, it's only fair to say that I did NOT get off to a good start when I first came here. It's embarrassing to talk about...

Hi everyone, I'm ApplesauceDoctr here today with a short article that's purely for fun. A while back I posted a poll where I associated some of the mushrooms in the game Plants vs. Zombies with the DPs, and now I wanted to expand on that while also providing some brief reasoning for my choices. Note that I'll be generalizing these characters quite a bit here, mostly looking at just one quality. This is all in good fun though, so let's begin! I'm actually going to start off with an unofficial princess:

Puff Shroom: Sofia (Sofia the First)
Sofia is the youngest and consequently smallest of...

Nothing on Earth Could Ever Come Between Them!
Hi everyone, for those of you who don't know, both movies share a common theme with each other that I notice! Aside from being the most highest grossing movies ever, here's my review base on my observations.

Titanic

In case you guys might be watching the movie, during the scene where Jack and Fabrizio are playing poker just moments before the ship takes off. The 2 characters to whom they challenge are 2 Swedes name Olaf and Sven, when I watch this scene for the first time in many years. I keep thinking that the 2 Swedes are going to transform into a snowman and reindeer respectively!
The music...

Which is your favourite?
Which is your favourite?
Since Korean entertainment has dominated the whole of Asia, here are the Disney Princesses' favourite Korean dramas and why they love it!

Iris (Mulan & Shang)

This Korean drama is about spying and espionage, this drama reminds me of both Mulan and Shang because it teaches them about spying.

My Princess (Rapunzel & Flynn)

Although the story is very similar to the Princess Diaries, Rapunzel did not find out that she is a princess until later of the story.

Winter Sonata (Elsa, Kristoff & Anna)

As the title mentions, this drama is very old but it suits the trios. Both stories are set...

Today I'll be thinking of who'd come out champion in a fight of the Disney Princesses, first I'll be thinking of their advantages and disadvantages. Also I'm ignoring the obvious, their kingdoms.

Snow White:
A: Has All The Forest Animals and the Seven Dwarves in her will, won't be fighting, she'd just be saying the commands for them, she does have her ways of getting people to do what she wants. She's very organized too
D: She is easily sabatoged and gullible. And forest animals aren't the strongest of animals. Besides she has no magic by her side

Cinderella:
A: It isn't easy to make her pissed...

It's just an Easter Egg.Nothing more,nothing less.
It's just an Easter Egg.Nothing more,nothing less.
I know that after people have noticed that little Easter egg in Frozen since it was released, many have developed the same theory. However,I do not agree with it and will give an explanation as to why. The theory with which I do not agree has to do with that brief moment in the film. Yes,by now, I think every major Frozen fan knows about and has seen the quick cameos of Rapunzel (with her short, brown hair) and Eugene (or Flynn,if Tangled fans still want to call him that) when Anna passes by them during "For the First Time in Forever." From seeing these two Disney Princesses together in the same...

My list hasn't changed all that much but I thought after rewatching Aladdin I would write an updated list.

13. Merida- Not a fan, I'm all for female empowerment but I don't like her attitude. She is just so rude & I do not find her likeable.

12. Elsa- She just really bugs me. I can't think of any other reasons but she just aggravates me.

11. Anna- Not keen on her either. She is not as bad as the other two but I'm not a fan, moving on.

10. Tiana- She is too much of a workaholic. I get that she has dreams to run her own restaurant but she can have fun once in awhile.

9. Jasmine- Jasmine has really...

Thought this was really the perfect time for this light read considering which months I think each DP represents the best. :D I did this based on personality and my perception of how those personalities relate to the 4 seasons as well as each month. I hope you guys enjoy! My apologies to non-Americans as this is heavily based on my American connotations with these months especially in regards to American holidays. Hope you guys don't mind!

Here's my list of Disney Princess couples, it's primarily based on what connected with me in their relationship and what i find admirable. I do have some ifs and buts with few couples but that's just my way of looking at how a relationship grow

1. Mulan and Shang:
Theirs a relation that I actually look up to with great admiration and respect. They both were mature to handle a relationship before falling for each other. Their love grew out of mutual trust, understanding and respect rather than romantic feelings. It is to not say that romantic feelings are not true or valuable, it's my personal...

Vincent Van Gogh's Japonaiserie After Hiroshige (1887)
Vincent Van Gogh's Japonaiserie After Hiroshige (1887)
I love art! I love culture, history, music and I love art. I have done some posts and polls about the Disney Princesses in reference to music, culture and fashion but not art yet so I thought I would do that next. I like to think of the Disney Princesses as "cultured" young women who have manners, etiquette, decent universal knowledge and appreciation for the arts. So, in my theory of the Disney Princesses being cultured, albeit each at their own levels, here are the paintings that I think each Disney Princess would love the most. (I could probably find a Van Gogh for each of them as I absolutely...

Because I am still in a musical mood but also ready for the "autumn/Halloween" mood, I'd like to incorporate the two! There aren't many DP villain songs overall but I came up with at least 9 that were good enough to use for the sake of this countdown. I rated each of the songs against how villainous the lyrics were, how villainous the music sounds, how villainous the scene that accompanies the song in the film is and how villainous is the goal of the villain (or just the villain itself) singing the song? I ranked each song in the 4 categories and then ranked them overall by accumulative "evil"...
