I wish she was like this in the film!!!!
I wish she was like this in the film!!!!
Hi guys, while I had written about both versions of Disney's Cinderella. I thought that I write about both Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent, unlike Cinderella, both stories are based on different perspectives from 2 different characters. I thought that this article would be somewhat a bit different. Also, in this article I'll also be telling what I like & dislike about both movies like what I did with Cinderella. If you guys disagree, I don't mind at all.

The Prologue

Okay, I felt that the prologue itself was actually base on Maleficent's childhood and it was when I started thinking "since when did Maleficent has wings?". I also thought that it was a backstory of how she became a vengeful person!
However, in the original 1959 version, she doesn't have wings during her introduction and she just appear in front of the family and their subjects during Aurora's baptism. I always thought she has magical powers since her childhood days. (1959 version)

Maleficent's Personality & Appearance

One of the things I was very disappointed about was that, after she put the curse on Princess Aurora. The filmmakers sorta like tone down her character very much like what they did with Elsa in Disney's Frozen! However, unlike Elsa. Maleficent was a villain from the very start.
As I mentioned in the prologue, I always thought that she was retaliating against King Stefan by putting the curse on his daughter.
Speaking of appearance, why is Maleficent all white? When in the original, she's all green and has yellow eyes. Her speaking voice doesn't capture the same quality as Eleanor Audley with that British accent she voiced the evil fairy. (1959 version)

King Stefan

Another major disappointed moment for me, was that they turn him from a good guy into another Hans wannabe. Or I shall I say that, it IS Hans acting as King Stefan! He was a good ally of Maleficent until he became a baddie! Or worse, a psychopath as time goes by. He doesn't even care about his wife dying from an unspecified illness, he just let her suffered and died.
In the original 1959, he was just a minor character who cares about his wife & daughter. He was also pretty harmless and would never kill Maleficent personally! (1959 version)

Princess Aurora

I was very happy that she gets more screen-time than her animated counterpart, her personality is more bouncy and cheerful like her namesake animated counterpart. (tied)

The 3 Fairies

They are the worse batch EVER!!!! They suddenly become way to goofy and comical fuse into one. They are NOT as wiseful as they are portray in the original 1959 version.
Secondly, what's up with their new names? Is it because the filmmakers wanted us to get confuse with their new names or something??? I seriously don't believe it. (1959 version)

Conclusion

Unlike Cinderella, the winner of this article goes to the original 1959 version. Although I do give Elle Fanning more credit for her portrayal of Aurora, Maleficent is considered my least favourite Disney live-action reboot ever!
Wow! He does look like Hans!!!

10.Esmeralda from Notre Dame
I love her personality Kind, thoughtful, social butter fly, absent minded, aggressive and caring. What I also like about her is her free mined sprit. And her justice towards Quasimodo was sweet part. I love her song and her voice too link

The Original Eight Princesses
The Original Eight Princesses
Anyone growing up in the 2000's (such as myself) who was a big fan of Disney Princess has probably heard the song "If You Can Dream". I like to refer to it as the Disney Princess' theme song (at least, I used to, but we'll get to that later); it was a song that basically emphasized the idea that if you wish upon a star, anything your heart desires will come to you. Not only did it refer to Disney's biggest trademark song in Pinocchio, but it summed up some of the great things the Disney Princesses at that time wanted: love and adventure. When I say "at that time," I'm referring to when there...

Many fans in this club says Elsa is selfish? Seriously? She is not selfish!

I'll give you valid reasons

1.) She shuts Anna out just to protect her

2.) She left her kingdom in order to protect her sister and everyone else

3.) She doesn't wanted to hurt anybody, but she has no other choice

4.) She created Marshmallow to sent Anna away from her, because she accidently hit her

5.) She did not mean to harm Anna, she just can't control her powers

6.) Elsa said this "No, Anna. I belong here, alone. WHERE I CAN BE WHO I AM, WITHOUT HURTING ANYBODY"

7.) She felt terrible when Hans told her that Anna is dead....

OK, I said in a previous article that Elsa may be one of the most powerful characters in Disney history and arguably as powerful as Maleficent. Well that got me thinking: What would happen if these two met in a fight?

Well quite honestly, I think this would be one of the most epic battles in the history of Disney. On one side, you've got Elsa, the Snow Queen; master of cryomancy and snow. And in the other corner, you have Maleficent, the Mistress of All Evil, dark fairy. It's hard to say just who would get the upper can in a battle like this. But to really give a statistical view on just what...
