Crappy picture I made.
Crappy picture I made.
I may be in the minority, but I love Elsa. Imo, she has a very complex, realistic personality. You have to dig a little deeper into her character than most princesses. I will warn you now, a lot of this article is assumptions and opinions Elsa haters will dislike.

Personality:
Don't kill me, but I think she has one. When she was little, she loved to play, laugh, and have fun. She was a little irresponsible (though at the beginning of the movie, before they build a snowman, she pretended each other.) but who isn't when they're, what, 7? She plays with Anna and really shows her love for Anna by being the older sister and doing all of the hardest stuff. (While Anna ice skates she is making more ice, she creates the snow blobs while Anna is having all the fun jumping around., etc.)She doesn't have to conceal. She's immature, but also caring, cute, and funny as a little girl. She has a lot of remorse for hurting Anna. After Anna is healed and the trolls pretty much tell her she is a monster and danger to society, she obeys. Imagine Merida in her situation(not hating on Merida!!) She would run off and her people most likely. Even as a child, Elsa tries to except responsibility and is obedient. Elsa is extremely selfless. She sacrifices her happiness, freedom, and life for the sake of Arendelle and Anna. She suffers mental abuse and stays strong. She has been told all her life she's a monster and oit actually gets to her head. This is rare and realistic for a DP. If your being bullied, it gets to you. She breaks down and has realistic emotions. Face it, not everyone sees the world as a ray of sunshine.( I'm talkin to you Snow White:3) Elsa gets depressed. She also is incredibly mature, while stilling keeping a sense of humor. I love how she messes around with Anna and how she wants to be protective of her but she isn't sure how to without hurting her. She doesn't long for "more" or freedom. She wants to be accepted, thats it. And she wants her sister back and for her to not be a monster. I find it inspiring that her goal is kind of selfcentered, yet at the same time so admirable. I like how we have a princess who isn't confident. All of that personality, ans we haven't even reached her personality arch in Let it Go! She is an introvert: that's how she's been treated. She's done with being all shy, mature, and reponsible. Her secrets out so why not be herself and be happy? It's selfish, but aren't we all. She locks herself away for the sake of Arendelle and never looks back/. When Anna comes to visit, the memories haunt her. She was done with being a monster and now it all comes back. She gets angry and makes a terrible mistake. She wants Anna gone so she can think. She puts Anna's safety before her needs. She could go back to being irresponsible and free but her maturity shines through and she wants to make things right. About throwing Anna out. Elsa created "Marshmellow" to merely throw them out and tell them to leave. Anna threw the snowball and blew things out of proportion. Elsa wants to fix things so bad she nearly kills to men. That scenes show her creativity (which I will go in to detail about later), accuracy, skill, and her control she gaining. The second she hears monster she stops. She wants to get out of the dungeon and fix things; she's confused about how the winter came. After she's of the dungeon, she is nearly killed by Hans. After saving Anna, she shows intelligence and figures it out. Now that a lot of her responsibility is lifted, her playful side returns and she is more like kid Elsa. CRAP that was long!

Complexity:
I think Elsa is a very complex person and character. She is so fixated on what others think, she gets angry and messes up everything. She's uncontrollable, but she feels like she can control her self. She's so selfless but she is very stuck in her problems. Elsa is like someone's temper. She can't be controlled without love. Her development isn't rushed. She starts out shy, obedient, responsible, and mature. She tries to be something she's not. She tries to be free, but she can't be. She tries to fix her mistakes, fails, and eventually succeeds. She warms up to Kristoff, Anna, and even Olaf slowly.

Relatabilty:
Elsa is quite relatable. I have not suffered from anxiety or depression. However, I share her fear. One time I was one of those dolphin playtime things on vacation and I got scared because I didn't want to hurt the dolphins.. Kind of like Elsa and her powers. I can relate to love for a sister.I'm pretty mature and responsible..sorta. I love to play and I can relate to feeling alone. Though I haven't been bullies, I know words can her hurt.

Creativity:
An unpopular opinion, but I think Elsa is by far the most creative DP. Her ice palace and dress!:o WOW!! She is amazing. She concealed her powers for so long but when she doesn't A FREAKING AMAZING ICE TOWER COMES OUT? I wish I could do that. This is an assumption but I believe that all her years locked up, she was an artist. I imagine she loved all things art related along with reading and writing.

Superficial Crap:
Elsa is my prettiest DP. I love her hair, eyes, smile, skin, she's perfect.
I think Idina Menzel did an awesome job with her voice.
Her snow dress is win!
I wish Disney would stop marketing her so much.

Thanks for reading!! I know that not everyone's a fan of Elsa, but I would love to hear everyone's opinion!! Please comment: it would mean a lot!!!Thanks<3:3

Hey guys! Team Jasmine is BACK! Last time we did an article about ourselves and why we love Princess Jasmine. But this time, we are ready to share our opinions of ALL the Disney Princesses, including the new ones, Anna and Elsa.

In the article, we combined each team member's opinions on each DP and wrote our overall opinion.

First we want to start with our opinion on each DP era.

Classic- The Classic girls were obedient, kind, and good natured. They were seen as good-willed and kindhearted, while having...

Elsa, is my favorite DP currently and I thought of showing my opinions about her.

We first meet Elsa when she is sleeping and Anna wakes her because "the sky is awake" and they have to play.
She first hesitates and tells her to play by herself but when her sister asks her to build a snowman she can't resist.
This part shows Elsa's personality before being isolated. We can see that she is the elder sister and tends to act more mature and calm, but she enjoys being with her sister and shows her playful side.
And we can also see that she isn't afraid of her powers and likes to use them.
"Shshshsh!!! Anna, can't you stay calm for a minute?"
"Shshshsh!!!...

A poll was recently made about who was the most selfish DP, and I was shocked and annoyed at what people were saying about Elsa (and Merida... But I guess I may have to make that article later) being selfish.

I know this point is already being debated on the poll, so some may find it a bit repetitive to read this, but I wanted to make a really detailed examination about Elsa and her 'selfishness'.

One argument I read was: "in the beginning part when she forbids Anna to marry him, it's just because she doesn't want to see Anna have fun with others while she is alone in her own sadness...."....

If most of you like me have grown up with The Little Mermaid and have followed the movies and TV shows, I think you realize when it comes to the story of the rebellious redhead from under the sea, it's not completely there.

Now I didn't see The Little Mermaid in theaters, but a lot of you did. It after all was the highest grossing animated film at that time. And of course, you all loved it. So when you found out that Disney was making an animated series about the movie, you of course were very excited. I myself grew up watching the series on VHS's and one of the VHS's I owned was "In Harmony."...

Elsa's name (a variant of Elizabeth) is Germanic for "noble".
Elsa is 21 years old by the time of her coronation, according to Jennifer Lee, the Junior Novelization, and the age difference from Anna.
When Elsa joins the Disney Princess line-up, she'll not only replace Cinderella as the oldest Disney Princess, but she'll be the only Disney Princess to not be a teenager.
Elsa is the first Disney Princess who is the deuteragonist to have a solo of her own. Jasmine does not count since her solo was removed from her feature film.
Despite the fact Elsa controls ice and snow, which are both...

Lately my obsession for Pocahontas is growing, and although I've already made a "Why I Love" article for her, I just really wanted to write something else for her. The article will be a scene-by-scene review, so I'll start from the beginning and talk about every scene she's in till the end, so this article might get pretty lengthy. Anyways, I hope you enjoy :)

We first see Pocahontas up on a cliff thinking. I love how Pocahontas thinks things through and isn't at all impulsive. We then see her dive off the cliff, as opposed to going down the safer way. This shows Pocahontas's adventurous side...
