My Original Thoughts

I absolutely loved Ariel. I can't really go in depth about it, because when I first saw it, I was really little. (Prolly about 5 or 6) But my feelings were pretty straightforward: she was a MERMAID & was pretty & a unique princess. I mean, I kinda wanted to be her. Who wouldn't want to live under the sea? I never really understood why she wanted be a human, though, because a mermaid was freaking amazing in my mind! Something I do remember is, my mom and my little and older sisters had a Disney songs CD. We would replay "Part of Your World" just because it was "our" song. :)

My Thoughts Now

I still love Ariel! We have had our ups and downs; at one point, I hated, or more so, disliked her. I've come to my senses and realized how adorable she is. Her rebellious spirit that she has I admire. Mostly because I can't take risks for diddly squat.. She is such a bubbly character & can think on her feet. Overall though, I can't avoid her quite unintelligent decision to visit Ursula, who she knew was the sea witch. /: And then, her head-over-heels nature with Eric is over excessive for me. Obviously, that's an important component to the story, but it's just a trait I'm not particularly fond of.

Beauty

It's actually quite difficult for me to even distinguish my feelings about her looks. No doubt, Ariel can have some stunning shots, but then again I never really saw her as exceptionally beautiful. I think she's pretty, but borderline cute. First of all, she does have a beautiful eye color, but then they decided to put three eyelashes on each eye. A lot of people complain about her body looking "anorexic" (& I absolutely despise that term, but I don't have time to explain why. Maybe some other time) In all honesty, I think Ariel's body looks just fine. I do have a problem with her hair. Though it has a lot of volume and I love the way it looks underwater, the color is terrible. I know they couldn't have done blonde because it would make the underwater scenes give off some odd coloring, but what was the point in giving Ariel a brash, quite off-putting color?

Wardrobe

What to say.. What to say.. I do like the sparkly dress at the end, and the blue outfit she wears to town is cute, but besides that, nothing particularly sticks out in a positive or even a neutral light. Negatively though, I don't like her humongous sleeves on Ariel's wedding free nor do I like the dullish pink color of the dress she wears to dinner.

Voices
Speaking

Honestly, there isn't much to go off. Yes, we have some time in the beginning when she speaks but it doesn't give me an impression of any kind.

Speaking

Eh.. I think Jodi can sing, but idk. I'm just not feeling Ariel's singing voice. At times, it's nasally. Other times, I really love the way it sounds. Overall, I'm very indecisive about Ariel.

22 LUCIFER AND POM-POM

Awwww, I actually like this couple. Seeing Lucifer fall in loves just makes him seem vulnerable. It’s nice to see him in that light considering his actions in all three movies. Although it was so sweet to see the kinder side of him, he definitely got what he deserved. I’ve seen celeb couples last longer than these two. Going back on his word and helping Pom-Pom attack the mice who helped him get her in the first place. Not cool.

I don't like this couple.

Party Time!!
Party Time!!
Since Halloween is coming, I'll write down some of the princesses favourite Halloween films.

1. Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera

I love this movie and I think it would be perfect for a Halloween party gathering for the princess together! It's about Erik, a deformed man living at the Opera House in Paris and needs love. Christine Daae, fell into a love triangle between Erik and Raoul, Vicomte De Chagny.

2. Stephen King's Rose Red

The spookiness in this miniseries is the best EVER! I love Stephen King because he's very original with his story, it's base on a mansion in Seattle.

Ella and Kit.
Ella and Kit.
Hi guys, I will be writing 2 of my favourite Disney remake that were make into a live action reboot. I will write down on which of these 2 are my favourites, as well as how they inspired me.

Cinderella (2015)

One of the things I really like about this reboot of the 1950 classic, was that it teaches us to have faith and be kind. We also get to see how Ella manages to stand against her stepmother unlike her animated version, she also meets the prince before meeting him during the ball.

Beauty and the Beast (2017)

Like Cinderella, Belle has more screen-time including the Beast/ Prince Adam. Belle...

Hello Carrie!!!
Hello Carrie!!!
Hi guys, I have been a fan of Carrie Underwood from the day she auditioned on American Idol in 2005. So, here are my choice for which songs from her are going to be the DP's favourites.

1. Just a Dream

This song suits Snow White and Princess Aurora, because they sleep for the majority of their respective films.

2. Good Girl

Since Ella has been trying her best to be a good girl to both her stepmother and her stepsisters, this upbeat song makes Ella wants to dance too!

3. Something in the Water

Okay, I know that this song is very religious, but it also answers Ariel's prayers about uniting both...

Loving the cast!
Loving the cast!
Hi guys, I posted about these 2 songs on the Beauty and the Beast fanpage and now. Here are my thoughts on why the former has more meaning than the latter.

Strong Meaning

When Terrence Mann sang this on the Original Broadway cast, I cried my heart out because the beast voiced out his remorseful feelings for chasing Belle out of the West Wing. In fact, the song should also be in the 2017 version because the beast felt no remorse shortly chasing Belle out.

Dramatic Ending

Upon listening to Alan Menken's rendition, I was blown away from his performance and I personally wish that Dan Stevens would sing this song for the film, I'm dying to hear his version!

If I Can't Love Her

So, here are my two reasons on why I love the song, do tell me on what do you think and do you think that it should part of the film?

Tale as Old as Time
Tale as Old as Time
Hi guys, I managed to see the 2017 reboot of Beauty and the Beast despite the initial boycott over the alleged gay moment for the Malaysian release, as I promise here is my review on the awesome classic!

The Story-Line

While the majority of the film is the same, I was very happy with a number of changes. Like we get to know more about Belle's and the Beast/ Prince Adam's backstory. To which I will write more about in another article soon. Speaking of the Enchantress, I always thought that it is the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella!
The Prologue gives more details than the 1991 version, which...

I finally saw the 2014 Beauty and the Beast and I really loved it despite bad critical reception. Let's start with the costumes and visuals.

Costumes and Visuals
The costumes are stunning! Each of Belle's dresses are so beautiful, and blow the 2017 Belle's wardrobe right out of the water. What I loved is how the film is set in Victorian times so the normal costumes are very drab and gray but the castle was set in the (16th/17?) century before the curse hit so the costumes are from that era which happens to be my favorite era fashion-wise. Belle's ivory dress is my favorite and she looks like...
