My problem with princess Elena

Princess Elena of Avalor. Many people are already crying out for her, loving her, loving her for the diversity she brings to the DP line...

And I just don't see the fuss.

Don't get me wrong, I do want proper representation (yes, i do, actually, even though the most cynical of you won't believe it). What I don't want is tokenism, a character that has no personality beyond what is defined for them- their skin color/sexuality/etc. It's like if Disney made a fat princess whom her whole personality revolved around food, or a bisexual princess who went around having crushes on everybody and being described...

DP signature outfit ranking

Here's my quick list on the ranking of Disney Princess signature outfits:

13. Rapunzel tower dress:
It's the most generic dress i could have imagined for a princess, purplish pink, with motives and stripes and criss-cross stitching, like the designer was sort of confused as to which design to follow, and put them all in one. I'm not a fan of puffy sleeves either, and why there's this stripes on them, really off-putting. They could have done better with the color and design. Only good thing about the dress is its silhouette, very modest and flattering. I don't know if it suits her personality...

Positive Messages

As some of you might be able to tell, I have been in a very musical mood lately. Along those themes, I wanted to make 2 music countdowns: 1 for Songs and 1 for Scores. I love Disney's music, especially from the team of Alan Menken & Howard Ashman. I almost never like covers of DP songs by Disney Pop stars so unless otherwise mentioned, all versions here are the original ones from the film. Here are my rankings for favorite songs:
