So of the comments from that Great Wall countdown.
So of the comments from that Great Wall countdown.
This was amazing drama free countdown. Everyone was happy every single round and were happy with the results. Oh wait I'm sorry, I was talking about my Best Brick in the Great Wall of China countdown...Here we go

11: The Little Mermaid
I was sad For once to see this film leave so early. And I'll tell you why in two words...The Bubbles. It had amazing animation second Best in it's Era...sadly not everyone else like it that much.
Comment
"The animation is kind of dull in TLM. Except maybe for some things that pops out But,the other animations for the other movies are better." egyptprincess7 picked

"Overall, the color scheme in TLM Is very bland compared to the others, it still has some of that sketchy look from the Xerography (though minorly), and it simply does not stand out as the others. It is very dull compared to the others in the animation department." Jayden-G

10: Aladdin
This film of it's Era I think has the worst of the animation maybe because it came out during the beginning of more CGI in movies...but besides that none else really popped. Besides the guy's nose at the beginning of the film
Comments
"It's definitely consistent and pretty. But I don't think the best animation scenes in Aladdin are more ''impressive'' than in the other DP movies." dimitri_

9: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
This placement I think this movie earned for coming out over 75 years ago it still has some AMAZING Animation better then a lot of other films. But sadly it isn't aging that well. I hope for it's 100th Birthday, Disney restores it to it's true beauty once again.
Comments
"The movements in this film are way too sharp and choppy. It is not as fluid in the character animations. While the animation is over 75 years old, it is the worst, as you can still see edgy mistakes and the differences in the cells. Just being honest." Jayden-G
"SWatSD is put in a disadvantage." dimitri_

8: Beauty and the Beast
I was sad to see this film go out also Yes I know I voted for it but I needed help from I.D.K.. It's beautiful but after watching it again I could see the parts were the animation wasn't to hot.
Comments
"The most inconsistent" dclairmont
"If they'd been given more time I'm sure it would have been FANTASTIC, but as it is it's a bit inconsistent. Also I just prefer the others." MacytheStrange
"Very inconsistent. I mean.. Belle's face practically changes everytime.. o-o."CRaZy_rawR

7: Cinderella
This animation is beautiful for it's age just like SWatSD but everyone sad the only good part in the Dress. They forgot about Sing Sweet Nightingale.
Comments
" Why is it taking so long for this to get out? It has nothing special but the dress transformation scene." disneygirl7
"It is very pretty! I like it a lot, but it isn't quite as unique as Mulan and Sleeping Beauty, or as detailed as Brave." MalloMar

6: Mulan
I personally would put Mulan lower, but that's just me. It's okay in animated for VERY flawed a many points. The good parts are any part with fire.
Comments
"I appreciate the style atheistic of Mulan, as they were going for a traditional painting look, but the animation was pretty flat." goldenivy
"Mulan has GORGEOUS animation, it has a painting like style to it, but out of this list I'd say Mulan. " prussiaducky

5: Brave
Is has amazing animation but sadly the characters and the setting don't always mix which makes it look a little cheesy also the characters don't look that hot all the time.
Comments
"The characters can look very unrealistic in some scenes." goldenivy
"If Brave gets out I'm gonna FLIP!!! The animation is by far the most BEAUTIFUL" prussiaducky

4: Sleeping Beauty
The Queen of the Animation has been taken down from her throne *Cues Belt* Dah, Dah, DAHHH. After I watch Sleeping Beauty a couple times I get mixed feels about the animation. At times I see it as the best, at others I see it as flawed. This time sadly I saw it as flawed. To many color changes.
Comments
"I really like its medieval style, but the others are better IMO" Shiki_Otherside
"I just find it to be very flat and boring. Some of the backgrounds are nice, but nothing extraordinary because they look as if they are not authentic. It is a quite plain background." ProllyPosh

3: Tangled
Props to you guys for putting this movie the ranking I give it for animation (it's tied with Frozen for me). This is were details of animation really come into play. I mean one of the times when Pascal wakes up Flynn, it you look in his eye you can see Rapunzel in it. Isn't that cool!?!
Comments
"Tough...Tangled has beautiful animation, but I just prefer the top 2 slightly!" dclairmont
"Tangled has great animation for CGI, super impressive lights and the way they aninated Rapunzel's hair is so realistically beautiful! I just think that they can make their characters look like plastic dolls" shanyuisboss

2: Pocahontas
I'm just like Pocahontas when it comes to this animation. I'm so what's the word...Oh well. It's beautiful at times but sadly can't compare to number one in fact none of them can IMO.
Comments
"I don't see what's so special about Pocahontas' animation, the colors are so boring." MissAngelPaws
"Pocahontas is so much more innovative and has such gorgeous colors! Everything seems to pop and jump off the screen, you don't even notice the lines, and it is just so creative!" rhythmicmagic

1: The Princess and the Frog
Has this film won anything on fanpop? It earned number one for best animation. has details that go out of this world (Watch Friends on the Otherside to understand). The Lighting, the water, the settings, everything it just perfect in it. Also when the evil shadows run past one of the house, they knock a light over, would the other films do that? I don't think so, that's why I'm happy this film won.
Comments
"They're both really good, but I think The Princess and the Frog is one of the best." Tygers_Eye
"PatF is superb!" GreatLance_30

So there you have it. Usually I would ask if you agree or disagree with this countdown results. But you guys made your points clear OH SO MANY TIMES!!! So disagree all you want in the comments. Rant you little hearts out. I'm going to go watch Downton Abbey and have a great time.
You guys = Sherlock. Me = Watson

PrincessAyeka12 gave me the fabulous idea of coming up with what books and authors each princess would like to read. We already know that Belle's a bookworm, but what would the other princesses spend hours flipping through, totally lost to the outside world? I had a lot of fun with this article, since I love reading. I've read at least one book from most of these authors, although not all of them. All credit for this idea goes to PrincessAyeka12! All images made by me.

Snow White

I get the distinct feeling that Snow would just adore classic children's books such as Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures...

1. The outside of the palace is inspired by the Taj Mahal.

2. The word "Agra" is in the name Agrabah. Agra is a city in INDIA.

3. Rajah is a tiger. Tigers are a symbol of INDIA.

4. Lotus fountains (like the one we see when we're first introduced to Jasmine) are an Indian thing.

5. "Abu" is an Indian name.

People complaining about Naomi being cast as Jasmine because she's Indian need to educate themselves.

If you want a version of Aladdin with Jasmine being played by a Middle Eastern woman, then major in film and get a film degree. It's not Disney's job to please you.

As for the people complaining...

Princess Elena of Avalor. Many people are already crying out for her, loving her, loving her for the diversity she brings to the DP line...

And I just don't see the fuss.

Don't get me wrong, I do want proper representation (yes, i do, actually, even though the most cynical of you won't believe it). What I don't want is tokenism, a character that has no personality beyond what is defined for them- their skin color/sexuality/etc. It's like if Disney made a fat princess whom her whole personality revolved around food, or a bisexual princess who went around having crushes on everybody and being described...

Hello, I'm PrueFever, a 32 years old guy from Denmark and a Major Disney Fan! My all-time favorite Disney Movie is The Little Mermaid, Walt Disney's 28th full-lenght animated classic from 1989. I just love all the characters in the movie, the songs, the score and the animation. I grew up with Mermaid, it was the first Disney Movie I saw, so there's definitely nostalgic reasons as well, I'm not gonna deny that! I can always watch the movie and my mood goes up 100%! It never fails to amaze me. Also, the voice actors in this movie is spetacular! Jodi Benson is great as Ariel and even greater as...

Type Three, "The Achiever"
Type Three, "The Achiever"
Introduction: Understanding the Enneagram

So, the Enneagram is a pretty complicated system of classifying personalities. Basically, everyone has a core type, expressed as a number of One through Nine. This is the most straightforward description of someone’s personality.

Here’s a basic rundown of each type:
1: perfectionistic, rational, idealistic
2: generous, warm-hearted, nurturing
3: ambitious, image-conscious, charming
4: sensitive, dreamy, moody
5: cerebral, perceptive, analytical
6: trustworthy, loyal, brave
7: fun-loving, enthusiastic, lively
8: assertive, strong, self-confident

I know she's always typed as an Intuitive, especially an ENFP, and it's understandable why; I had once typed her as an ENFJ myself. She does, after all, just "know" the lights are "meant for me!" But is that really indicative of someone with strong intuitive preference? I think it's because this tendency for people to type nerdy/quirky/silly ESFJs as ENFPs, not only Rapunzel but characters like Steven Universe. It gets frustrating because that just implies only intuitives are inherently imaginative.

Anyway, to the typing:

Extroverted Feeling (Fe): Rapunzel is very warm to everyone she meets....

My User Icon Made By Myself
My User Icon Made By Myself
This is mostly inspired by the link by PrincessAyeka12. I thought it was really neat the way it gave a chance for people to talk about like interests as well as get to know the user better as a well-rounded person beyond just their DP favorites etc. So I hope you guys don't mind this article and I'd love to hear from you about what we do and/or don't have in common. :)

Behind the Screen Name: I love reading and writing so I wanted to pick a name that was very symbolic for me. I love and strive for balance as I truly believe it is the key to life. My screenname was meant to represent the balance...

Triton is one of those dads in Disney that absolutely makes me squirm. I don’t love him, and I don’t hate him. But I do find him extremely unnerving, and on the same plane of Mother Gothel upsetting. He clearly alternates between being “nice” only sometimes, and then being really “explosively nasty” at other periods. King Triton’s rule is a patriarchy. I think his abusive tendencies, though, stem from insecurities he has within himself. Triton is afraid of the unknown. He's also afraid of not appearing “manly” enough. ( Bizarrely, this also makes me think of Prince Adam and...

Ah yes. Merchandise. Money, in other words. I adore the Disney princesses. They are all unique, and have good qualities. Some are even a little complex and the majority are at least decent role models. That's not how Disney markets them. Well, unless their name is Anna or Elsa. For the first 11 princess, they are downgraded into sparkle obsessed girls that look nothing like they did in their original film. Great princesses are forgotten in merchandise as well. The whole system is downright awful. For the Frozen sisters, Disney markets them as "I don't need a man". They tried that with Merida...

As an adult, I viewed the name Gaston of Beauty and the Beast's villian, Gaston, as Gaston's last name. I only assume its his last name because 1)the triplet girls call him "Monsieur Gaston" which is basically saying "Mr. Gaston" in the opening song called "Belle" in the reprise that Belle sings by herself the line "Madame Gaston, his little wife?" Most of the time saying "Madame (name" would be like saying Mrs. Gaston. And there's the fact Gaston is a first name but it could also be a last name as well. The name of Phantom of the Opera's author.

Recently, I saw a poll on this club about which House Rapunzel would be in at Hogwarts, which got me thinking about that question in relation to all the princesses. I’m an avid Harry Potter fan, so I figured I would lend my unique insights on the matter to all of you lovely people.

But before I begin my analyses, it’s time for some disclaimers!

1. About the Houses. Here’s how I tend to think of the Houses of Hogwarts. (Note: I will be saying the most about Slytherin, since Slytherin is most often distorted.)

Gryffindor: values bravery, daring, bold decision-making, rule-breaking, following...

I decided to write an article on why my favorite Disney Princess.. Is my favorite Disney Princess. Anyways, please keep in mind that this is my opinion, and we may disagree, so respect my opinion, and I will respect yours. Enjoy the article! :)

Snow White is an amazing character, in my opinion. She is my favorite Disney Princess, and is my favorite Disney Character. She is also one of my favorite animated characters, and fictional characters in general. Now, let's talk about why.

She has a mix of what I like in a character, she's sweet and kind, but she isn't a pushover. She can be a bit...

I'm not doing it with the CGI Princesses because I don't particularly like any of their smiles. I mean... they look like real teeth Dx Anyway, here's my list...

9. Pocahontas
As some may know, I think Pocahontas is a really beautiful human being, in and out. But what I don't find beautiful about her is her ways of expression. When she speaks, it sounds like she's faking every type of emotion she's trying to express and the same goes to when she smiles.

8. Mulan
Mulan's smile feels held back so that's why she is in this placement. But I do think it's warm and natural, maybe not as ''impressive''...
