Author's Note: So, guys, this is a preview of a fanfiction I'm thinking I'll maybe do. It's Sleeping Beauty retold in Aurora's POV. What do you guys think? Tell me in the comments.

Briar Rose hummed to herself quietly as she picked berries from a bush. She smiled to herself: her aunts thought they could deceive her, but it was obvious they were planning something special for her birthday.

"I wonder what they're doing this year," she thought to herself. "Last year Aunt Fauna sew for me this shawl I'm wearing, Aunt Flora made a flower pot for me to put my flowers in and Aunt Merryweather baked her special strawberry pie recipe. Maybe this year she'll do a blueberry pie."

A chirping caught her ear and she looked up to see her bird friends perched in a tree's branch to her right. Smiling, she took off her shawl and shook her hair to untangle the curls.

"I wonder... I wonder..." Rose sang. She knew her friends loved it when she sang. "I wonder why each little bird has a someone," she looked dreamily at a couple of birds.

"To sing to, sweet things to, a gay little love melody," graciously, she accepted the berry the owl offered to her. He was always so eager to please.

She soon stopped working, lost in her thoughts and her songs, in a world of her own. She crossed the woods to a very special place. Her aunts didn't know, but always when she went to the woods, she would stay hours in this spot, where she could stare at the castle.

"I wonder if my heart keeps singing, will my heart go winging," she sang as she reached the 'special spot'. There it stood, in a mountain and over the river, the majestic building.

Rose smiled fondly as memories rushed to her mind:

*Flashback*

Her petite frame perched in the tree's branch, the twelve years-old Briar Rose petted the soft fur of her small squirrel friend. Her hair was pushed back by a pink headband, her body snuggly wrapped in a see-through blue shawl over a lavender nightgown. She was barefoot, like always: she liked the feel of her feet touching the fresh grass and her aunts respected that. In fact, they seemed quite happy.

Her violet irises were in the castle over the river, the white walls turned grey by the night. It was the fourth night she would tiptoe out of her room and sneak of the cottage to her special spot in the woods. She had been fascinated by it since her Aunt Fauna told her it was a castle and the royal family lived there. Briar Rose had asked her while they were having a picnic. She pretended she didn't notice the looks her aunts shared afterwards.

"There he lives," she whispered softly in the middle of the night. The squirrel, which was almost falling asleep, lulled by her gentle hands, lifted his head.

Briar Rose looked at the small animal.

"Him, you know," she said. "My dream prince."

The little animal seemed to be eager to hear more about this 'him'.

"Someday. he'll find me and..."

*End of the Flashback*

"And bring back a love song to me," out of her mouth came the words her heart had been singing for so long."

The animals sighed happily, comforted by the sound of her melodious voice. Briar Rose smiled, resting her head over the handle of her basket. She didn't even remember her birthday anymore, all thoughts lost in her dream prince.

Once upon a time, there was a man who had a lovely and beautiful lady as his wife. They had one daughter only and her name was Cinderella, who was very dutiful to her parents. But while she was still very young, her mamma died, to the grief of her husband and daughter. After a time, the little girl’s papa married another lady. This lady was evil and haughty, and had two ugly grown-up daughters as disagreeable as herself; so the poor girl found everything at home changed for the worse.

But she bore all her troubles with patience and grace, not even complaining to her father, and, in spite...

Hello everybody, I just wanted to inform that this article is completely my personal option. There is absolutely no need to have a hissy fit if my opinion doesn’t conform to yours. Feel free to comment what your own ranking is if you wish. Anyways, let’s get on with this ranking.

#14 Merida

“I’m a boy with long hair.”
“I’m a boy with long hair.”

Merida is one of the most hideous animated females ever. She just screams ugly, unfeminine and manliness. She is the epitome of what’s wrong with strong female characters (or just females in general). Her head shape is hideous and makes her look...

Hi!
I'm a huge fan of Rick Riordan's books, and I thought this would be an interesting idea! First of all, let me explain you a bit: there are 20 cabins in Camp Half-Blood, each of them belongs to a god, and their demigod children live in their respective cabins. For example, Percy Jackson belongs in Cabin #3 because he's a son of Poseidon, and Annabeth Chase belongs to Cabin #6 since her mother is Athena. The 20 cabins are:
#1 – Zeus (king of the gods)
#2 – Hera (goddess of marriage and fidelity)
#3 – Poseidon (god of the sea)
#4 – Demeter (goddess of nature)
#5 – Ares (god of war)
#6 –...

Another fun idea that came to mind, we take two princesses see just how much they have in common. I wanted Pocahontas and Rapunzel first because Punz is a pretty good balance of qualities found in the classic, renaissance and revival princesses so it's easy to do this with her. Plus, it's a very common misconception that Poca is just this peaceful spiritual wise soul, and that's only half of her personality. What better way to debunk that than to compare her to the one of the bubbliest princesses

At first glance because Pocahontas looks mature and Rapunzel looks youthful, some would assume...

It's no secret that I absolutely DESPISE the movie The Little Mermaid 3: Ariel's Beginning. It's absolutely insulting, has terrible continuity, the original characters (except for Ariel) are completely different characters, Triton is a one-dimensional and exaggerated version of his former self, the story about music being banned is stupid, the villain is lame with an equally lame song, it's full of plot holes, the new characters are unnecessary and unmemorable, Athena died in a dumb way (Leave the music box you idiot), and it puts more effort into gorgeous animation and good songs (Except for...

Ranking the Disney princess eyes
Eyes are considered to be windows to the soul. Eyes are the most important facial feature. They beautify your face and are a beauty trademark to be admired if beautiful. I have aquamarine eyes which I spend time examining them and stare at many other people’s eyes. I decided to rank Disney princesses by their eyes. And it is unique that I prefer big, wide eyes than small, tiny ones.

15. Mulan’s eyes

I don’t think she’s pretty, and I don’t like her eyes also. They are the least beautiful of other Disney princess eyes. They are angled up, almost the V-shape....

1. The outside of the palace is inspired by the Taj Mahal.

2. The word "Agra" is in the name Agrabah. Agra is a city in INDIA.

3. Rajah is a tiger. Tigers are a symbol of INDIA.

4. Lotus fountains (like the one we see when we're first introduced to Jasmine) are an Indian thing.

5. "Abu" is an Indian name.

People complaining about Naomi being cast as Jasmine because she's Indian need to educate themselves.

If you want a version of Aladdin with Jasmine being played by a Middle Eastern woman, then major in film and get a film degree. It's not Disney's job to please you.

As for the people complaining...

Hi everyone, I just watched Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera just now. While watching, I noticed some similarities with Beauty and the Beast! Here are my observations.

The Story-line

As you may know, both stories are set in France, it also has a sad theme in it as it deals with a deformed person name Erik who wishes to be love. Ironically, the author of The Phantom of the Opera is by Gaston Leroux, who happens to be the namesake villain of Disney's retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The rose also plays a symbolic role in both stories.
Secondly, the Stranger Than You Dream It scene...

I haven't done a ranking in a while, so here ya go. This article is dedicated to the amazing animators of Disney who gave us wonderful character designs and, sadly, unrealistic hair expectations! (*cries because my hair will never be as cool as DP hair*)

That being said, although every princess has beautiful hair, some manes are better than others. This is my opinion of their hairstyles, ranked worst to best.

12. Tiana

I find Tiana's hairstyles quite disappointing. As the first black princess, and being absolutely gorgeous at that, the animators could have done lots of cool things with letting...

Introduction: Understanding the Enneagram

So, the Enneagram is a pretty complicated system of classifying personalities. Basically, everyone has a core type, expressed as a number of One through Nine. This is the most straightforward description of someone’s personality.

Here’s a basic rundown of each type:
1: perfectionistic, rational, idealistic
2: generous, warm-hearted, nurturing
3: ambitious, image-conscious, charming
4: sensitive, dreamy, moody
5: cerebral, perceptive, analytical
6: trustworthy, loyal, brave
7: fun-loving, enthusiastic, lively
8: assertive, strong, self-confident

I know she's always typed as an Intuitive, especially an ENFP, and it's understandable why; I had once typed her as an ENFJ myself. She does, after all, just "know" the lights are "meant for me!" But is that really indicative of someone with strong intuitive preference? I think it's because this tendency for people to type nerdy/quirky/silly ESFJs as ENFPs, not only Rapunzel but characters like Steven Universe. It gets frustrating because that just implies only intuitives are inherently imaginative.

Anyway, to the typing:

Extroverted Feeling (Fe): Rapunzel is very warm to everyone she meets....

Anyway so I hope you'll enjoy this article

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs: The Forest Scene

It's feels kind of strange to start off this article with imo probably the scariest animated moment and one of the scariest movie moments (I don't like horror movies),...

So I really, really, really love the Disney Princess dance sequences, particularly with the waltz, as I find it to be so sweepingly romantic! The animation of the dance, the way the dress twirls with the women, the romantic and powerful score in the background, the gorgeous scenery in the background and the usually gorgeous dress worn by the princess... I love everything about these sequences! That's not to mention the show of romantic love developing. I am very much an old soul so I really love the process of "courting" which often included the man taking the woman out to dance or dancing...

So yesterday I wrote about my favorite songs, today I'll write about the 10 best scenes, originally I was planning on only doing a top 5, but I felt that it was too little so I decided to do a top 10 list, like with the songs I love all the scenes in the movie so placing them wasn't so easy, but I hope you'll like this article anyway

10. The Funeral Scene

This scene is so sad yet so beautifully animated and I couldn't resist putting this one on here since I lost my grandmother just a few days ago, but even before that this has been one of the most beautiful scenes in the movie aswell as...
