Hi, I’m Lissabelle (That’s a portmanteau of my first and middle names). I’ve already written one article but I got super swamped at school and didn’t have chance to write another. (Well, I wrote a second article, reread it and realized I disagreed with nearly everything I said and then took it down.)

About Me: I love everything from Walt Disney Animation Studios, but the princesses have a special place in my heart. I also love reading and writing. I consider spending time with little kids a special joy and I like to quilt. I am in the honors or AP equivalent of everything that has an honors or AP equivalent (it’s not like there’s Honors lunch). And I’m sure you’ve noticed by now that I am addicted to parentheticals.

Addendums: Like the Genie said, “There are a few, uh, provisos. Ah, a couple of quid pro quo.” Except I’m not talking about wishes, I’m talking about what I consider canon.

I think the creators’ original vision and the final film are the two most important thing to consider when deciding what is and isn’t canon. So I only count the final film and the final script for the film as canon. Deleted scenes and songs are not a part of the final film, so they aren’t technically canon, but they can inform your interpretation of the final film.

Anything that was done by a different studio doesn’t count for me. Since Tangled Ever After is by the original studio, it counts. Disneytoon Studios sequels, TV shows, Disney princess merchandising movies, tie- in books, video games and all those things don’t count. I’m not saying that they aren’t great, but they are derivative works, not originals.

To summarize:
•    Original film: Canon.
•    Final script of the original film: Canon.
•    Alternate studio sequel: Not canon.
•    TV show: Not canon.
•    Merchandise movies: Not canon.
•    Tie-in books: Not canon.
•    Video games: Not canon.

Thanks for reading!

Okay I'm a week late but here it is, finally!

If I can be honest this is a movie I'm not really that excited about watching again. Any time I watched it in the past I wasn't that interested but now that I've been watching more Disney again lately maybe I'll enjoy it!

Tonight's rewatch: The Princess and the Frog
Last time watched: 2013

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
When I first watched this movie I was 16 years old and kinda going through a "I hate Disney" faze. It wasn't that I hated all the Disney movies since during that time I was still watching the classics like Hunchback of Notre...

My issues with these two aside, they do have pretty cool designs
My issues with these two aside, they do have pretty cool designs
I already shared some of these grievances in a wall post so the adrenaline is down but at least now I can somewhat organize my thoughts. In some ways this kind of a part two to my first rant.

Now, if you ask me the golden age of the Disney Princess lineup was that sweet spot when it was 10 princesses, I mean it was the first eight characters and films that most of us knew and loved, and grew up with, plus the two who kinda pretty much revived (no pun intended) the franchise and they fitted in quite nicely.

We even had a really cool website where the princesses talked to you, you could dress each...

Coronation Moments.
Coronation Moments.
Since 5 princesses were originally commoners, what you're going to read is actually a few coronation music that will suit when the these 5 commoners became princesses!

1. Royal Coronation Overture (Patrick Brill)

So the composer is modern, but this music sounds French and Baroque. I personally think that Belle and Cinderella will use this music since they are French.

2. Marche de Triomphe (Marc-Antoine Charpentier)

Another French Coronation, only this time by a French composer! Considering that this piece was use for the coronation of King Louis XIV of France (AKA The Sun King), it sounds pretty...

Note: Frozen is owned by Disney, not me.

A week had gone by since Anna and Elsa's accidental visit to the public lake. The 2 sisters wanted to actually swim. Thankfully Anna had a plan.

Anna walked into the living room of the kingdom and stated "We should go swimming today."

Elsa said "But I don't want us to make another embarrassing mistake."

Anna tried to calm Elsa down by saying "I went to a nearby private lake yesterday so I know how to get there. Plus it's not that far away."

Elsa asked "Are you sure it's not a public lake?"

Anna replied "I hanged out there for hours yesterday. Nobody...
