I love them <3
I love them <3
I saw KataraLover and sweetie-94 doing these kinds of articles so I decided to do this too but with Mulan and Pocahontas.

Similarities:
They are both confused and search for spiritual guidance. Neither are very... optimistic. They have more in common than that but I will explain it all reviewing the aspects.

Differences:
Since Pocahontas follows her intuition and wanted to choose her own path, Mulan is much more obedient than Pocahontas. Pocahontas isn't into serious guys and Mulan, well... just look at Shang. Mulan is literally a fighter and Pocahontas is against. Mulan moped around a lot in the beginning of the movie but Shang was able to discipline her. Pocahontas on the other hand still seemed to be doing that towards the end of the movie.

Personality:
I don't really get how Mulan has a boring personality and how she's a cardboard cutout. But yeah, Pocahontas' personality is more playful and fun. Pocahontas is wiser, bolder, more curious and more outgoing. Mulan is more self-reliant, more tenacious, more astute, more self-conscious and more awkward. Though, both are pensive, selfless and opinionated.

Prince:
I personally like Shang much more than I like John Smith. Shang has a good work ethic and he's the best role model out of all the Disney Princes IMO. He's also the most selfless Prince, he genuinely cares for his men. He perseveres and does whatever it takes to protect the ones around him. I also love how he's a general who has faced the Huns but he gets all awkward when he's in front of Mulan. Though, I can't say that I don't at least respect John Smith, he took the blame for Kocoum's death and he took a bullet for Chief Powhatan. He has a nice approach towards Pocahontas and does a lot for her.

Relationship with their Prince:
I might be alone here, but Pocahontas & John Smith's love isn't as passionate as it seems. John changed his whole point of view after Poca sung Colors of the Wind, I think their relationship was too rushed. Mulan & Shang share a strong friendship that would make their relationship last. They balance each other out and are a great team.

Singing voice:
Mulan's singing voice isn't as strong as Pocahontas'. Pocahontas' singing voice is just so powerful and she also has superior vocal abilities IMO.

Beauty:
I think Mulan's really really beautiful, I've always appreciated her natural beauty. She could pull off anything because she doesn't rely on femininity to look as beautiful as she does, she even managed to look cute as a guy. She's so lovely when she is deep into her own thoughts. But I'll give this one to Pocahontas because she is more unique looking. The first time I saw her, I thought she looked breathtaking. She's just drop dead gorgeous, she's got great legs and her lips look like Angelina Jolie's.

Movie:
Definitely Mulan for me, it's my favorite DP movie while Pocahontas is among my least favorites. I think the humor, the characters and the plot in Mulan are just great. There are definitely strong points in Pocahontas but I find it very bland overall and I wish everything didn't get solved so quickly.

Soundtrack:
Both have scores that give me goose bumps; Short Hair and Farewell. Both have gorgeous scores and overall, amazing soundtracks. I'll Make a Man Out of You is my favorite Disney Song and I love all 4 songs in Mulan, but Pocahontas wins this because of the quantity.

Relatability:
This is just me, but both are the Princesses I can relate to the most with. I can definitely relate to Pocahontas' indecisive nature, she feels as if she has lost herself and didn't know which direction to go to. How she has to choose her path, how she doesn't have the answer to everything and always has to seek advice. I'm repeating myself but Mulan was insecure and she messed up because she didn't know who she was supposed to be yet. I always struggle with trying to ''find myself'' and trying to please my family. Even though I relate to Pocahontas' a lot, I relate to Mulan the most.

Independence:
When John Smith asked Pocahontas to come with him, she decided to stay with her people even when she really did love John. At the beginning, she was supposed to marry Kocoum but she wasn't really interested. Even though he was pretty hot and could've taken good care of her. So yeah, Pocahontas wins this even though Mulan is also independent.

Intelligence:
I don't get when people say Pocahontas is smart... she's certainly wise but I think she's one of the least smart Disney Princesses if anything. Poca was struggling but I think it was pretty obvious she had to go save the guy she loved. Mulan thought of a trick to feed the chickens and helped the elderly man solve the game problem in the beginning. She figured how to reach the arrow, she blew up a mountain to defeat the huns, she found a way to get into the palace and got to outsmart Shan Yu. She has an inventive mind and she comes up with a plan for everything, it's more than her situation or luck IMO.

Bravery:
Pocahontas is definitely one of the bravest Princesses. She risked her life to save John Smith. I mean, she did it in front of everyone and her head was about to get chopped off. But what makes Mulan the bravest Disney Princess for me is that she knew there were little chances of making it out alive in the army but she still went through with it. Even when Shang told her to pack up, she persevered. It's not just because Mulan went to war, but also because she was very well aware of everything.

Overall winner: Mulan

I will be adding some non-princesses to this list!

15- Merida- Sorry to say this guys.. but I find her hideous. I find no beauty in her at all. She's weird looking. Especially with the animation she is in. To the people who like her I'm not saying anything bad about her I'm just stating my honest opinion so please don't get offended.

14- Kida- I find absolutely nothing appealing to her. I always thought she kind of looked like a man. She also as white hair and weird eyes.. how i that beauty? Again, just my opinion no hate.

13- Rapunzel- I just think they could of done better.. I don't like the...

I've already made an article like this for link, link, link, and link, and thought it was only right to do one for the amazing Pocahontas. Pocahontas has gone through a roller coaster on my list, most recently being 10th on my list, but I've always loved her. When I first came to the club, Pocahontas was my second favorite, and she's finally joined back into the top 5, now coming in at 4 (3 if you don't count Elsa). Well anyway let's get starting with me talking about why I love Pocahontas!

Pocahontas is great in many ways, but I think there was one instance that really struck me as remarkable,...

The Disney princesses are known for their voices. In some cases, it is the first quality people describe about them. I love music, and I love to sing, so this is something I really love. So here is my personal opinion on the Disney princess singing voices!

10. Ariel
Ariel’s voice isn’t that bad, if it’s your type. Which it’s not particularly mine. I prefer a deeper tone and richer timbre. But if that’s all I have to say negative about it, why is it my least favorite? One little thing: SHE SINGS THROUGH HER NOSE. Up where they stay all day in the sun, ready to know, get some answers,...

Princesses in peasant clothes hanging out.
I've said before that I can't make a ranked Disney Princess list because I love or like all the princesses to a certain extent, so it's impossible to put them in a strict 1 to 13 order. However, some have requested that I just write my thoughts on each one, so I'll do that here. I'll list each princess in order from when she came out.

Snow White - I feel pretty neutral about her. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves was one of the first Disney princess films I saw since I got it for Christmas at age three. I liked the movie, but truthfully Snow White never made an impression. She was just kind of...

Team 1989?
Team 1989?
Hello everyone, as I did for previous Disney Princess reboots, here is a comparison of the 1989 animated film with its 2023 live action reboot. With that being said, let's dive in!

The Storyline

While the storyline is faithful to the 1989 animated feature, I was very happy that there are several scenes that actually filled in the plot hole. Like we get to see Prince Eric's adopted mother and their relationship between mother and son. tied
Speaking of parental relationship, Ariel's relationship with her dad remains the same, except that in the animated feature. King Triton is a very hot tempered...

7) Bejewelled Princess Dress

This dress is over-the-top! She is not the type of princess who would appreciate being decorated like a Christmas tree and then find that she cannot walk without feeling the heaviness of weight pulling her down. It doesn't suit her at all.

6) Makeover glittery and patterned dress

This is better than the last one but still over-the top. This time it's the gold patterns on the skirt. There's too many patterns. The bodice part is more. subtle with a singular pattern on the side. I like that. But the shiny blue sleeves are distracting. Too shiny. Her headband is...

We've come to the big one. I hear Belle called a Mary Sue a lot, more than any other princess aside from maybe Rapunzel.

Unique traits without contacts or hair dye- No. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
An odd name- No. 'Belle' isn't that odd of a name.
Looks constantly commented on- God yes. The town literally sings an entire song about it (along with how odd she is). It's literally in the title of the movie, along with her name. 1.
Multiple characters falling for her- Yep. Beast and Gaston, plus the whole town calling her beautiful. 1.
Gets into the relationships she wants- No. Her relationship...

Disney is a truly incredible studio, with great movies, novels, and terrific drawings that surpass Picasso. I love all of Disney's movies and they're really amazing. I can sit and watch Disney movies for hours. Today I'm going to share my Top 10 favorite Disney movies with you, and also explain why I love them.

10- Pocahontas
I don't like John Smith in the movie Pocahontas and I hate Poca and John's relationship. John Smith really embarrasses me and the scenes with him are disgusting. But frankly, I love all the characters except John Smith. Percy, Nakoma and Pocahontas are great characters....

Aurora was always third on my beauty list, but I had replaced her with Belle. Now there's Aurora instead of Rapunzel and Ariel, so she's fourth on my list. Aurora is a very beautiful princess.

Her hair reminds me of a golden waterfall. It's really nice to have your hair curled. Also, Aurora's eyes are perfect! Violet color. The rarest eye color. Her lashes are also gorgeous and united. The shape of his payload is oval which is perfect. You are amazing Aurora.

I find Aurora very beautiful, but I can't say I love her very much because I find her absolutely boring. She knows nothing but dancing, singing and getting up with a kiss.

Note: I don't have the technology to take pictures of my dolls and display them on here. In order to see what they look like, I suggest going to websites like Amazon for the first couple of dolls that I'll be reviewing.

For Christmas, I wanted to expand my Frozen doll collection. Thankfully, that did happen. The first Frozen film had several dolls, but they only made dolls of four characters: Princess Anna, Queen Elsa, Kristoff and Prince Hans. I was able to collect one of each in addition to getting a second Elsa later on. The second Frozen film has a more impressive line of dolls. There's...

mmmm...I guess the one thing I like about her is that she really knows how to take care of herself out there. -Swanpride

She does one unique thing for a disney princess: she is called out on her selfishness and mistakes by the narrative, owns them, AND works to fix the problem. She realizes her mom has a point as much as Merida herself does and learns to appreciate her. Also, she learns true bravery- not shooting arrows, swinging a sword, or climbing waterfalls, but admitting you caused harm. That's never easy. Merida avoids some of the outdated tomboy princess tropes by doing all this, but...
