I miss you. I miss you so much it hurts. I am forever grateful that you took a bullet for my father but it broke my heart when you left- but I knew it was for the best- you needed to get healed, the only chance you had of surviving was if you went back to England.

I remember I showed you so many things: a wolf crying to the blue corn moon, the grinning bobcat, mountains, I taught you to paint with all the colors of the wind.

There's a full moon tonight, it reminds me of you, half a world away.

A few days together, that's all it took, a few days for me to fall in love with you.

It's amazing what you can do in such a small time.

The problem with time is that eventually time always runs out.

I have no idea where you are out there in the world, John. But I understand that I lost the right to know these things long ago.

But tonight, tonight you're here with me.

Our story has three parts: a beginning, a middle, and an end. And although this is the way all stories unfold, I still can't believe that ours didn't go on forever.

I love you, not just for now, but for always, and I dream of the day that you’ll take me in your arms again.
