(cuing Heather O'Rourke from Poltergeist) I'm baaaaack!

Yes, I have returned after taking some much needed breaks and planning out more articles. I was kinda winging and only gonna do princess evaluations like I've been doing, but then I thought of other stuff in a DP movie. So, I've finally come up w/ 10 official categories.

This one, will be the last in solo princess evaluation. Meaning this is the last time I'll focus on just the princesses. The next parts are aspects of the DP movies, but not the princesses themselves.

Does that sound smart? Good, 'cause this is...

Smartest Princesses

Again, this is opinion, please respect mine as I respect everyone else's.

10. Aurora

Now, you can blame this on serious lack of character development. Honestly, I haven't see her do anything smart! All she does is sing, dance, occasionally clean windows. But thought wise, all she thinks about is her dreams. Then when she meets Phillip, all she thinks about is him. Like when the fairies tell her you're betrothed to Prince Philip she says; "How can I marry a prince? I'd have to be---". Then when it's like, 'yeah you're a princess' she doesn't take a second to be like 'Hold up I'm a what now?', all she can think about is the stranger who snuck up to her and danced with her. I know some of you may be thinking what about her knowing the faires were planning a surprise party? Seriously, anybody could tell the fairies were hiding something you can attribute that to the fairies being bad actors. Honestly, all she's got on her brain is the boy and it clearly shows.

9. Snow White

Hey, at least she beat out 3 names up there.

While I will admit, going into the dwarfs house was a smart move for protection purposes, it's what she does in the house that make me question her. Okay, so she sneaks into a house for her safety, fine cool, what is she gonna do? Clean it. Am I being punk'd? She just cleans it? No wait she cleans it then goes to sleep? No wait, she cleans the cottage and goes to sleep before it gets dark out? Okay, fine poor thing was tired from running. But riddle me this; why did she go to sleep when she was obviously cooking something? What, was the smoke inhalation gonna wake her up? Then when the homeowners wake her up a little after the sun goes down, she stays awake to eat and then party. After she tells a girly story, then she goes to bed. So it was stupid of her to go to bed after cleaning and while cooking if she was only gonna get up again. Well that can't be the only stupid thing she does right?
Wrong. So she's got a death threat, and she's been warned DON'T LET ANYONE IN THE HOUSE. What does she do? Let's an obviously scary stranger into the house and eats what the stranger says is a 'magic wishing apple'. That seems both stupid and selfish. But hey, Snow fell in love with the first guy who snuck over her wall and sang to her, and wants to be with him even though she's only 14. She, like Aurora, is boy crazy. But unlike Aurora, we can see her focus on other things like cleaning, fleeing for her safety, knowing about personal hygeiene, and saying her prayers before bed. Snow has more character development, and that's why she's up a little higher.

8. Ariel

Can I say for the record, she's a hoarder and hoarding is an official mental problem. So, she has mental problems. Just sayin'.

In addition to hoarding, Ariel has an obsession with humans and how they function. And when she wants to know about human stuff who does she consult? A bird. A bird who clearly doesn't know what he's talking about, but a 16 year old will believe him. Well, granted she's not supposed to talk to humans for her safety, but could she find a merperson who studies humans maybe? It's a possibility. Speaking of humans, when she gets a look at an attractive human, she decides she's in love with him and becomes all boy crazy. Wow, falling in love kinda affects a girl's thinking huh? So Ariel wants to be with him and goes to an evil sea witch who warns her about some bad things that could happen if she agrees to her deal. Without thinking twice, Ariel agrees to sell herself for some feet, completely disregarding everyone else she's loved and known her whole life. See, she only thinks of herself too. Then when Eric decides to marry the sea witch in disguise, Ariel doesn't think about what could be wrong with Eric or how to get him to change his mind, she just runs off crying. Only when the crazy bird tells her the truth, she decides 'Oh, now I'm gonna do something'. In all honesty, I don't know what else I can say about Ariel that hasn't been said in this YouTube video...

Seriously, check it out, it's pretty funny.

7. Pocahontas

Hey, at least I boosted her up on something.

Yes, I don't much like Pocahontas or her movie, but again, MY OPINION. I respect people who do like her, but I just don't and I can't no matter how hard I try.

Okay, so we first meet her standing on a cliff and when she hears her daddy's back, she starts to run toward her village, but then comes back and jumps off the cliff and into the water. Wow, isn't that um dangerous or something? What if something went wrong and she broke her neck? Well, we wouldn't have a movie and history would've been wrong. Now granted she was raised not to trust the white man, so she is suprised to see what a ship is and what a white man looks like. Okay, understandable. Then she meets one. And somehow through advice she got from a lady's spirit inside a tree (Grandmother Willow), she can magically understand John Smith. That's not smart, that's magic. I bet that really happened to this real life heroine too. If you can guess what happens next, she falls in love with him and sneaks off to see him. Smart right? Well...when you're boy crazy, you think it's smart. On the day her father's gonna kill her secret boyfriend, she decides to stop him. Could she have done it the day before when he was captured? Sure, why not. But nope, instead she runs up and protects Smith just as her dad's about to bludgeon him. What if Powhaten couldn't stop himself in time from swining that thing. No more daughter, that's for sure. So, she could've thought of a better approach to saving the guy she loved. But hey, she's not gonna love him in that abominating sequel anyway.

6. Cinderella

You guys shocked? So am I?

Honestly, I love Cinderella, I love almost everything about her (save for a few things). But she's this low because I honestly don't recall her showing any smarts. Sure, she's got skills in cleaning, and cooking, and even dancing, but how did she learn them? Do we see her learn anything? Nope. Plus she was nearly forgetful with the whole midnight deal, and she didn't know the prince was the prince until she heard it from the stepmother. But I give her credit, it was smart that she carried the glass slipper with her.

5. Rapunzel

Rapunzel knows how to do a lot of things a lot of others can't do and we see that. She can also figure out she's a princess without anyone telling her, and she learned that through things she did. But she's placed here because even though she knows this things, she doesn't know what to do when experiencing something knew. Okay, I admit it was smart of her to know when to use her powers and to try to figure out what was best to do in a situation, but she was too guillable if you ask me.

4. Tiana

Again, we see her being able to do some pretty cool things pretty well. She also takes time to think things over, but she can get way too focused. Like after dig a little deeper. She misunderstood the song and decided, 'I have to work even harder'. That was really her stupid moment. I guess you can consider her thinking Naveen was marrying Lottie but she was still a frog a little dumb, but this was at the point where she realized she loved him, and Naveen was the only thing on her mind. But she was quick-witted when she was confronted by Facilier and that's when we see her at her smartest if you ask me.

3. Mulan

I was gonna put her at #2, then I realized she's forgetful. Remember her writing notes on her arm? I admit though, she is smart. She's good at thinking what's best to do not because she thinks for herself, but for others. Mulan tries to do the smart thing for everyone, but not so much for herself (lest we forget what happened with the matchmaker)

2. Belle

I'm being honest when I say this but...do we see her do anything smart? I mean besides realizing she's in an enchanted castle (which anyone in her situation should be able to do). We see her read, but what else? Maybe you can consider it a smart decision to go back with the Beast after she was ambushed by the wolves when she so obviously could've went home. I guess she's so high up because she's never boy crazy and I can't recall her doing anything stupid.

1. Jasmine

She even says so herself "I'm a fast learner".

You may agree it was stupid when she took the able from the vendor's cart, but that's not stupid. She didn't know what she was doing and she thought it was the right thing. Luckily, the equally smart Aladdin was there for her. When Aladdin got captured, she knew it was the right time to reveal herself and use her power. That is a good time for a leader to show a good use of their power. But she has another sort of dumb moment when she believes Jafar when he says he was beheaded. Then when she meets Prince Ali, she falls in love with him because she was able to figure out it was the same boy from the market she fell in love with by making him fall into her trap. Okay, yeah there's a small example of being boy crazy, but it's not as serious as the others because when danger follows, she regains focus and does what's necessary to save herself and others. We see plenty more smart moments from her in her series as well, but I've seen too many episodes to prove my theory. You're gonna have to rewatch the series yourself like I started doing. Again, YouTube is the perfect spot for that and sanjaysooni60 is the person you need to look for to watch the episodes.

Well, that is my opinion, please tolerate it and respect it as I do everyone else's.

Kida is about eighty eight hundred years old but doesn't look a day over 22.

15. Poor Kida. Her film was considered second-rate Disney by most and her looks don't get much appreciation either. To her credit, Kida is one of the most unique princesses in appearance and personality....

Early concept art of Belle and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast; often considered the magnum opus of the Walt Disney company was released on November 13, 1991. As most people know, it is the only traditionally animated film to date to have garnered an Oscar nomination for Best Picture. This may have been due to the approach to this film. It was so unusual for an animated film; having a screen writer, acting director, flawless score, elements that were typically reserved for high-budget live-action films. So much care and detail was put into this film that entire books could be written about...

Once upon a time in a faraway land, there was a tiny kingdom. Peaceful, prosperous, and rich in romance in tradition. There was a small farm that lived a humble farmer, and his daughter, Victoria. The Farmer was a kind and hardworking man that preferred the simple life as a farmer. However, his daughter was far from content with life as a farmer's daughter and desired for more in life. Before her mother died, she had her daughter promise her that she would be more than just a simple peasant girl. That she would have a better life for herself one day, along with her future children. Unfortunately,...
